Valley Animal Hospital — Attraction in Rialto

PET OWNERS, PLEASE READ I should’ve listened to Dr. Bower who initially told me that the Librela shot for my babies specific hind pain was NOT an option. She took the time to explain the x-rays to me and why my baby was NOT a candidate, with NO rush during our appt and answered all my questions and sent her home with meds.

I had a follow up with Vet Tracey Duprez (facility Owner) on 11/20, since meds were not working 100% and my baby had a full extensive exam done and was given the librela shot. She was clearly in a rush even though SHE showed up 20 minutes late to our appt, was in a bad mood and pressuring to make a decision to opt for Librela including making the comment “we’re way past our time” when we had barely been in with her for less than 15 minutes. I asked her if I should trust it and she immediately said yes. I asked of other options and she told me there were really no other options. I asked why Dr. Bower provided different information from her X-rays and she never gave me an answer besides why she was right and not Dr. Bower.

She called me the next day with test results to tell me she was overall great minus her dental issues and once she was in a better state with her hind pain, we would begin working on other procedures as she was in need of dental work which would require extractions and a full sedation. 2 days later, everything started going down hill. I wanted to see if anything was different and this was her adjusting to the meds but since my dog stopped eating completely, I called Vet Tracey Duprez a couple days later to inform her things took a turn for the worst and I asked “why the difference in opinion from Dr. Bower who completely cancelled the librela out as an option and was firm in her decision to not even entertain it” and Vet Duprez clearly was irritated with my genuine question and said “you came to me for a second opinion and I told you that I thought this was the best option so I dont know what else to say” mid sentence of mine she cuts me off and said “I really have to go, I have other patients waiting for me” after being on the phone with her for only 5 minutes while I was in tears.

When Vet Duprez was informed of these issues, instead of supporting and showing concern or empathy, argued with me. Disgusted with her treatment and lack of empathy. I shouldn’t have trusted her, what a monster

12/4, I rushed her to an emergency hospital as I almost lost her. 01/04, I was informed she was at end stage kidney failure. Librela and Vet Duprez selfishness took my dog from me.

01/24/2024 - Update It’s interesting that after I write an HONEST review, suddenly you have 10 NEW great 5 star reviews so mine won’t appear at the top. We did NOT go through the x rays as I had even asked you during that consultation if you had seen them and even took offense when I had asked and simply said you saw them. You had me sitting in the room for 25 min and actually was in there with me for 15 minutes you did NOT “thoroughly” speak to me of the side effects, you VAGUELY rushed through the details and minimized them to saying you “read some things on a couple Facebook pages” which is how I found out of all the horrible side effects you NEVER discussed, you have the recording, you and I both know you’re being dishonest about these things. You say we discussed multiple options, that’s a lie! When u called to tell you she was “doing great” I told you she was able to walk to use the restroom, not that she was jumping hurdles and her quality of life was normal, she was simply dealing with pain that now I know could’ve been managed had you just put more effort and not ran to use this new drug for your gain.

It’s disrespectful you try to soften your review with “empathy” when you had none during our encounters and trying to make it seem as though I am just grieving. I took my time to review you so I could take the emotion out of it and state FACTS. You are being extremely dishonest but you can put up a facade for the people, you will live with that in your cold heart in the end and that is...

I can't say enough good things about this facility. Or should I say I can, but both yelp and Google have character limits, so I had to revise this twice. So instead of War and Peace, here's the readers digest condensed book version.

My experience with this hospital has been nothing less than an absolute blessing. The people who work here clearly care about what they do. They went above and beyond right from the start, and have continued to do so ever since. Each and every single time I've visited for follow-ups for our cats care, I remain absolutely impressed how incredibly professional and thorough they are. At no point did I ever feel rushed. They truly want to know all the details so they can hone in on the issue and provide sufficient, effective care. Their pricing is much more reasonable than their competition, and at the same time they don't up-sell you. This is the vet equivalent of finding a mechanic you can actually trust. An absolute diamond in the rough.

Before we found this hospital, the first vet we sought out immediately suggested putting our cat down because his care would be "such an inconvenience". They were cold and jaded, and overcharged us for minimal care which was rushed and dismissive. We pursued a second opinion and received a poor prognosis with more of a "wait and see" approach. It was only when we discovered Valley Animal Hospital that our cats needs were finally heard and started to be met. Their initial exam was an actual comprehensive exam, as opposed to the treatment received from the prior two facilities who barely gave us and our cat the time of day.

I can't speak on behalf of everyone there, but to Dr. Christina Bowers and Jacque, thank you. You are both absolutely amazing. A few weeks ago I was told it was time to say goodbye. You both felt otherwise and truly went above and beyond for us, and our boy has been fighting and recovering bit by bit thanks to your treatment and care. We can't thank you enough.

We aren't out of the woods yet and were never given any guarantees, but you've given us hope. Your kindness, patience, understanding, and everything else you do has made such a positive impression on us, and we are so grateful to have found you to help us as we navigate our circumstances.

If I could rate 10 stars that would be be rating. I have been a client for over 7 years. There is no other place I would take my dogs. The love and attention that they give to my dogs is appreciated. I have never had dogs that were so excited to walk into a vets office as my dogs have been. Dr. DuPrez and her whole staff are amazing. I never question or Doubt what they recommend as I know what they recommend is how they would treat their own pets. I recently lost one of my dogs and from the moment I walked in stressed and crying seeing my dog collapse in the floor, Dr. DuPrez and her staff came running out to help and took over. I knew it wasn’t going to be good but I can never thank them enough for the care that they gave him. When you have the staff come in to say goodbye to the most perfect dog and saw tears in their eyes you have no doubt that they love each and every client as their own. How could you not trust and have complete faith knowing that they give the best to you and your animals. I have my Great Dane and with all the issues that come with owning a Great Dane they are always open to my questions and if they don’t know they will always find out and call me back. My girl just had eye surgery and had complete faith and peace when I left her. I appreciate Dr. DuPrez and her connections to being in amazing specialist to assist when needed. Those that don’t bring their animals here are really missing out on an amazing Dr. and her staff. They are truly one...
