Pump House Park — Attraction in Richmond

Cool little park to check out. They're currently renovating the Pump House so it looks very rundown right now, but once it's finished they plan to use it in the same way it was used before, to host dancing parties and events. I'm sure it'll take a couple years, but it will look great once it's done. There's a nice one mile walking trail around the place, so that's also worth checking out. This is our go to, favorite spot in town to step away into nature!! We went swimming here often during the summer, but have lately just been enjoying walking the trails with the fall colors! Very quiet and peaceful. When in season, keep an eye out for paw paw and passion fruit, both are a delicious treat to forage!

My wife and I discovered this classic building three years ago as we continue to discover all that Richmond has to offer since moving back here in 2014.

Recently I read an article about the restoration that is happening. We decided to go take a look this past Wednesday to see for ourselves.
