Dogwood Dell Amphitheater — Attraction in Richmond

We had several ant hills in the grassy area in front of the Carrillon. We wish there would have been trash bins situated in areas of this side of the park. There were people who left their trash on the ground. At least for this event. The food vendors were great and they had a Kona Ice truck there. I know all vendors saw a good amount of foot traffic. I love seeing a show at the Dell. There's nothing better than a free show. That being said, I always try and leave a couple bucks in the donation box, have to support the local theatres. I would suggest getting there an hour to an hour and a half early, to scope out a good seat as well as parking spot. I would suggest you bring dinner and a camp chair or blanket. The event was great, but working with the city of Richmond has always been a hassle. They guy didn't even want to turn the air conditioner on in the green room. It was very hot, we had food, guest artist, and volunteers in that room. The audio guy was not very nice, mumbled something, and even slammed the door after he turned the air conditioner and left out the green room.
