Although I favor paved trails, this crushed packed stone was easy to ride, even with a street bike. The trail offers much time for personal time to heal, refresh and recharge if you bike solo. There are so many farms and fields that put you into a different frame of mind. I biked in mid-Spring from Norwalk to Bellevue, and as I biked I thought how beautiful everything would be when wheat and corn crops were grown and golden. The trail runs along the RR tracks the entire way and if you are lucky you just might hear the whistle blow and a train pass by...I did! And, one last thing...if you bike during a sun-kissed day and hot temps, make sure you take plenty of water and wear proper clothing because shade, although not absent, is minimal. This is a wide...

Great place to bike or walk. Dogs can be walked on a leash. The trail has crushed stone and is usually kept clean & maintained. You are able to social distance. There are sections with trees overhead that make it cooler in the sunny weather. There is an open area after Halfway Road; however, trees are ahead again.

You can enjoy the birds and the butterflies. We've been seeing several Monarchs. Today a fawn jumped out of a bean field and promptly crossed into some trees. What a nice surprise!

There is an outhouse at the beginning of the trail. This is a great place to get out...

We did this trail yesterday, (5/16/21); and we enjoyed the scenery for sure. The actual trail not so much. Not a fan of stone gravel when biking; but nonetheless; the entire experience was wonderful.

We probably would NOT do this trail again. We especially enjoyed our stop at the Monroeville Depot Museum. That was pretty cool.

All and all; we had a lovely...

One the 1st paved trails. Many, many blacktop speed bumps. Highlight was the site of the Sterling grade school+75 yr old bldg. But it's gone. The park is beautiful. Have a box lunch and sit and enjoy the beauty. Definitely an active railroad line next to your trail. 4 separate trains with rail cars. All within an hour time. Noon, 1:30 or so.
