Twist & Shout — Restaurant in Ridgefield Township

Use to ride my bike here all the time. Place got sold, and now their operating hours are all over the place, and never seem to be consistent.

Sad that this is no longer a place on my list of possibilities, simply because it's too much work to find out if they are open, and even then, IF they will actually be open when you get there🙄

Priorities, I guess🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️

The sign has always said "try and find a better burger" and to those who know how small monroeville is, they might say "yeah, try to find another burger in monroeville, period" but this man is NOT just saying it because there's not much for options in monroeville, his burgers CAN NOT BE BEAT! I'm sure inflation will only continue to raise prices everywhere, but in 2021, to pay, I think it was like 7.80 for a double cheeseburger, at the quality they do here, you would easily spend 12-16 bucks for this same burger in a trendy neighborhood less than 45 minutes away!

If you are hungry, and passing through monroeville, you will NOT regret stopping here! Plenty of parking, drive thru if you don't want to get out of your car, picnic tables out back with shade and corn hole boards, super friendly staff, and excellent food for the price (even the shredded chicken sandwiches are NOT the typical from frozen, heat and serve, which surprised me because roots chicken is so good and local, and while I expected roots, and love roots, their shredded chicken did not disappoint one bit, and I was pleasantly surprised, once again)😍

Owners are super nice too, and seem to be willing to make your food any way you prefer (no meat, vegan, etc.) Without judgement, and even make you feel like they are not only willing, but excited to make something custom, just for you. You can't fake the quality customer service you...

Observed the owner walk out of the back door carrying food... no mask in sight. Will never go back. If you’re a restaurant and lying about a medical exemption for face coverings, you are going to get called out. THERE IS NO MEDICALLY ACCEPTABLE REASON TO NOT WEAR A FACE MASK. Restaurants have a duty to protect public health, and Twist and Shout is not living up to theirs. Make informed decisions based on science.

Owner replied... umm my food was not delicious... I didn’t get any... ambient heat in the kitchen? Viruses are generally deactivated via autoclave... intense heat, pressure, time.... again SCIENCE! Was the ambient heat outside deactivating the virus before it could land on the tray you...

Went there a little after 3 and their ice cream machine was not working properly. The owner apologized so many times and after saying he couldn't make either of the 2 options I really wanted, he made me a cherry milkshake which was delicious. I offered to pay and he said don't worry about it because he couldn't make what I really wanted....twice. He explained that the ice cream machine has been acting funny and the man that is supposed to fix it has been giving him the run around. He looked so defeated.
