Went in with my son to buy a new couch. Even though some may not agree with me, but my condition is not your condition. I seriously do have a medical condition that prevents me to wear a mask, because I need as much oxygen as possible. I went in there Monday, Oct 19, 2020 early afternoon. The gentleman who welcomed me first asked me about a mask and I let him know medical condition. He was respectful. Then a second gentleman asked me about a mask and I told him the same thing. The second gentleman that asked me had his mask below his nose; which I didn’t care about. I do understand how difficult it is to breathe in a mask first hand. Also I work in healthcare so I get it. Before being able to work from home I stayed in my office, because I couldn’t take the mask. You don’t know how much of a difficulty you have until you experience it. Thank God my boss understood. I even went and got diagnosed, because I was having an extremely hard time. The first gentleman kindly walked my son and I around and told us about the tags of what was available and what would need to be ordered. After about two minutes the manager came up to me and said that they have special hours for people like me to come and shop there. First of all saying to me people like me made me feel ashamed. I also checked the website and I see nothing about hours for people like me. I did try to get through to the corporate office but it routed me back to the local store here. There were only about six maybe seven customers in there; The showroom is huge. I chose to go on a Monday, because there would not be as many people there as if it was a weekend. Because of my condition I’ll choose days and times to go places where I do not believe it will be crowded. Before the coronavirus I’ve always hated crowds. My husband and I just moved and we needed a new couch set. I feel very disappointed that I was not allowed to spend my money at a furniture store my husband told me to go to. I felt very disrespected, because of my condition. I can barely sit and talk without having an issue. So again for her to tell me people like me was an insult. I would never shop here again and I would never recommend it to anybody else. When I find a furniture store that is OK with my condition that allows me to socially distance from people then I will...
Read moreBought a pullout couch and specialty dresser from here. The salesman was great. I received the delivery a week later and have had bed bugs ever since!!!!! Luckily I just bought my house so I have no other furniture yet and we have quarantined the addition where the couch is to avoid the spread but Jesus! A $450 couch all to waste and now I have to spend money to fumigate. I tried calling and talking it over to see if they offer anything in this situation . The girl who answered immediately assumed I was another customer who had come in to complain about bed bugs (let’s me know they have them or whoever they use for delivery has them and they definitely got someone else) and got an attitude and ridiculed me before I could even say anything or ask questions. She ended up giving me a customer service ph# that sends you in a circle and never lets you speak to anyone who might actually help you or tell you they can’t help you. Called the location back and while the manager, Angela, was nice she also did nothing but give me a dead end phone number.DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!!!
updateOf course you’re going to deny it! Lol I have no reason to slander a well known business for no reason. I got the items for a decent price, my salesman Obi was very good. But your customer service is trash!! I would have accepted a simple response of “I’m sorry ma’am due to our policy we simply cannot accept the items back or provide a credit or refund” if your employees had the common courtesy to let me voice my concern without being interrupted and accused. I mainly called to let you know in case any other families were effected but we could not get that far because I was treated rudely and on top of that my time was wasted by sending me on a wild goose chase. Teach your employees how to speak to and to actually try to assist people! Have a blessed day ✌🏾 And...
Read moreWhen I arrived at R&F, I was greeted by Jerin and told that if I needed anything , she would be happy to help. She allowed me the opportunity to walk around the entire store and when I was ready, she answered a few questions for me. After we measured each section of the couch I was interested in purchasing, I left the store intending to return in a day or 2. After determining that the couch would indeed fit in my living room, I returned to R&F to make my purchase.
I was greeted by another salesman and I let him know that Jerin had helped me a few days earlier. He immediately called for her and she came over.
When I tell you that Jerin was polite and went above and beyond, I am not exaggerating. I noticed that the price of the couch had gone up and she said that they had forgotten to price one section, but that they would honor the original price for me. Also, I noticed a small tear and asked if perhaps a piece of tape or something could be used to cover it during delivery, so the damage wouldn't get worse. In addition, I wanted to see the back of the couch to be sure there wasn't any damage there. Jerin asked a colleague to help move the pieces, so I could look behind - no problem. After we checked out, Jerin actually showed us an identical section that she found in the store, without a tear and said they could switch it out for the one with the tiny rip. I thought this was especially awesome as this is a clearance center and I wasn't surprised that there was a small tear, but I am very grateful that she found another section without one!
Thanks to Jerin and her colleagues, we had a very positive experience at R&F. Our couch is being delivered tomorrow and I hope it is also a positive experience - to be...
