My mom and I have been stopping by the Mary S. Roberts Pet Adoption Center Thrift Store for about a year and a half now, and we love it. We always find great treasures, but honestly, the people there keep us returning, and of course, the good cause! Heather is the assistant manager, and she's seriously the best. She takes time to say hello and chat with us every time we walk in. We have gotten to know her throughout our visits. She is so personable and friendly and knows her stuff. She loves dogs, too! Theresa runs the place; you can tell she puts so much work into keeping everything organized and running smoothly. She cares about making this store work for the pets. She knows practically everyone who enters the door and always makes time for customers. I am not usually a "thrift store person," but I love what this place does. They help needy pets. Every purchase helps animals find homes and receive care, making shopping and donating much more meaningful. We donate our stuff here because we believe in what they are doing. It is nice to see a business where everyone genuinely cares about their mission and treats customers like family. One other thing - they are dog-friendly! If you bring your pet in, they will take their picture and put it on the wall. How great is that? If you are looking for unique finds while helping pets, check out this place. Great stuff, amazing people, and such a good cause - what more...
Read moreI used to donate a lot of things to this store to support the cause (Cats adoption center) but the last time I was there there were some details that I didn't like and that's why I'm not going back. ONE of the things I noticed is that the items I donated that were new I never saw them on display. TWO, The last time I chose some items and since I didn't have my bag, I quickly went out to my car to get money but I saw a lady coming behind me thinking maybe I had stolen something. When she noticed that I saw her, she went into the room where they keep all the donations. My daughter also noticed because she was coming behind the lady. THREE, I don't know why they charge sales taxes if it's a used goods store and from what I understand thrift stores shouldn't charge taxes. FOURTH, for this reason they did not give an item to a person who appeared to be homeless. He brought a one-dollar item to the counter but since he didn't have to pay the tax they didn't give it to him 😐 the man left without the thing he needed because he had only one dólar. (I didn't react at that moment to pay what the man needed, which would probably be 10 cents but that's not the point). My daughters constantly take out things in good condition but I'll look for another place that treats customers better and doesn't charge tax (I wouldn't mind if it wasn't a...

I had such a great experience visiting this thrift store! Everyone was super friendly and welcoming, which made the visit even more enjoyable. I especially want to mention the lovely woman who oversees the jewelry section—she was so kind. I complimented her jewelry, and she told me all about how she had gotten most of it for her recent birthday. It was such a sweet moment!
The store had a great selection of just about everything, and the prices were fantastic. I did notice some customers being difficult toward the jewelry lady—not sure why people feel the need to be that way, especially when she was being so helpful and kind. And, they were busy, for me that speaks volumes.
I did pick up a few great pieces to sell at my vintage store, and would have stayed longer if I hadn't had such a long drive ahead of me.
I love the cause this shop supports, and it really shows in the positive vibe of the whole place. I’ll definitely be stopping by again next time I’m...
