Arlington Library — Attraction in Riverside

Library has a good spot for todddlers and young children but unfortunately this library hires uneducated allied universal security guards who do not know the law. A security guard was staring at me breastfeed my newborn and then walked behind me and asked my husband to have me cover up... it was 30 minutes before closing time and only one other person was in the library as well. When my husband confronted him about it and told him that he had no legal right to tell me to cover up, the security guard lied to our faces and said he never told me to cover up, that he only told us there was a nursing room available (he never told us about a room though) and then he had the nerve to say that breastfeeding my newborn was public nudity. The harassment and humiliation was unreal. Luckily I have an amazing husband who stood up for me when I couldn't. Just a heads up if you're a breastfeeding mother, that in all 50 states you are legally protected to breastfeed in public and private areas, covered and uncovered (only exemption is someone else's...

I just wanted to recap on this review ,regarding the thing that happened with the lady breast feeding ? Well she was walking around the toddler children’s section without a top on ? Without her child in her arms? Looking to create a disturbance ? Not to say that the guard didn’t be nice and respectful and educated? Officer Ezekielee I think was professional and tried to be helpful? To this trouble maker also Again dealing with homeless All over the place he is . Firm not loud also I. noticed the staff really doesn’t care for there guards ? When the place is full of homeless unfortunately chasing the paying clientel away? I visited this library twice. There were a lot of shady characters the first time, but not so many the second time. This is a fairly large library with plenty of tables to get your work done - if you get here on time. There is a quite large selection of books and videos comparable to Orange Terrace. It's a noisy library. Most patrons think they are at Starbucks. The Internet connection is awful - slow and choppy.
