"Savoring the Fusion Flavors: Rancho la Perla's Salvadoran and Mexican Street Food Extravaganza" In the heart of Riverside, California, Rancho la Perla stands out as a culinary treasure blending the best of Salvadorian and Mexican street food. During my two-week Californian sojourn, this hidden gem emerged as the unrivaled champion in the street taco scene, even for someone like me, a UK native not well-versed in these delicacies. While I could wax poetic about the freshly made tortillas, Rancho la Perla's true culinary prowess goes beyond words—it demands a personal encounter. The fusion of Salvadorian and Mexican flavors creates a unique experience that lingers in your memory long after the last bite. Rancho la Perla isn't just a restaurant; it's a portal to the vibrant street food cultures of both El Salvador and Mexico. From pupusas to tacos, each dish tells a story of tradition and culinary expertise. My favorite? Well, you'll have to visit to discover your own, but I can assure you that disappointment is not on the menu. Rancho la Perla is a culinary journey that transcends borders, offering a delectable fusion that deserves a place on your must-try list. Whether you're a street food aficionado or a newcomer like me, this spot is a delicious revelation in Riverside's diverse food scene. Follow me for more @hiddengemuk

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Mexcelente Mexican Restaurant is even better under the new ownership! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere. The staff were attentive, friendly, and made us feel like family.☺️ The highlight of our meal was Jose’s Molcajete—absolutely outstanding! The sizzling bowl was filled with perfectly cooked meats, fresh vegetables, and a rich, flavorful salsa that was the definition of authentic Mexican cuisine. Every bite was perfection, and it’s clear the new owners have taken things to the next level. If you haven’t been to Mexcelente lately, you’re missing out. This place is a must-visit for anyone craving amazing food and top-notch service. I can’t wait to come back!

My daughter ordered the hamburger kids meal and she liked it. My husband ordered the breakfast #3, he really liked it! I ordered the shrimp ceviche and it was NOT edible, and I am not very picky. I took one bite and had to send it back because the shrimp tasted rancid. The customer service was great. When I sent the shrimp ceviche back he server was apologetic. I ordered a pupusa instead. Pupusa tasted mushy/undercooked and lacked in flavor. The curtido was soggy and tasted old and unflavorful. I may return and try something else, but overall I wasn't impressed.

If I can give a negative for the pupusa I would. Rancho La Perla was our spot for pupusa we had been going there for years. Our Fav! I would always get the mix pupusa they were hardy with cheese, meat and beans the Best! So yesterday 11/3/25, I decide to get some to give this new name, a try but they were so disappointing, they were so poorly made I believe maybe they forgot my cheese, but there was no cheese, barely any chicharron or beens seem like they barely skimmed it with the spoon of food. Not appetizing at all.! All masa🤮 Before I even order, I had asked the girl that took my order if it’s the same cook from Rancho La Perla she told me yes which I believe is LIE😤 Now time to find a new pupusa place or I might start making...
