As much as I love the people here. Their prices are gouging. They are worse then the most expensive scalper online. 29.99 for 2 pack tins and stickers. They may use TCG but they will pick the most expensive price and why sell at resale prices when you have card vendors. You have access to things the public does not. I bought a One Piece booster box for 299.99 and the next day a restock happened and it was everywhere at 199.99.
They try and sell product at 2x 3x even 4x as much as it should. I get you have to make your money... but anyone going here should know you have a better chance working a deal out with someone online.
As a person who shares the same beliefs as this place, they have an obligation to treat the public better with prices. I feel like it is a form of lying or greed....
If your shop isn't making alot of money then run more events, reach out to your community. I personally think this is a scalper store front. Look everywhere else but here before buying. If they are the last ones with it... maybe then and only then consider.

After owner response
I never called you scalpers, only that you are above scalping prices. It's actually worse...
And everything you sell is a want. Doesn't mean because the public wants it, doesn't make it ok to just charge what you want.
We live in Ohio and it's right to serve.. You can put limits on everything... what this is described as is taking advantage of people's wants... it's like you and a buddy going to smoke a cigarette and one of you doesn't have a lighter.... so you turn to them and say, 10 bucks to use it... does he need it... no... does he want to smoke....yes.... it's your job as a good business to keep your prices fair and competitive. This price gouging only adds to the problem behind it.
Also nothing personal... this is only a review to help you, not to insult you. I would love to talk with you in person and on camera for an interview. I'd love to change my review and publicly promote the amazing changes we make to help your local collectors keep up AGAINST the scalpers. This should be the card stores vs scalpers not ... let the scalpers...

I felt so bad for the clerks that they were trying to run a one piece tournament, but the majority of people there didn’t want to play in it. I was the only one who came for the board game night. Everyone else was playing the One Piece TCG but didn’t want to do the tournament.
But the store itself was about a mid-tier stock with quite a bit of video game stuff right as you walk in. I could reasonably find anything that I could want for cards or DnD. They had a fair few popular nerdy board games along the walls and all the way back. They sell 40k stuff but I didn’t see any ongoing games or people playing.
They have a great drink selection! Bawls are being sold here. They don’t have a tab system so unfortunately it seems that people in general don’t hang out here unless they bring in people. I stopped during the week so I would imagine it would be quite different on the weekend.
The service was very good. I opened a tab only for the other clerks to tell the guy they don’t do that here, but they never rescinded it nor asked me to pay for it early despite me making trips to and from my car. They answered all my questions, but I got a pretty strong vibe there wasn’t much TTRPG’s going on here. It was mostly commander in the weekends (so I was told).
The owner was in and I shook his hand and met his wife. They seem like wonderful people. I just couldn’t get a game going even on board game night. It’s seemed like a great spot, but the weather might’ve...
Read moreThis is a good "hangout" comic shop, if you are looking for a place to just play Magic all day and talk to employees and other players about the game. Otherwise, it's an "emergencies only" (can't find a card, game, toy, etc. at any other shops in the area) place. Bell Book and Comic, Mavericks, Super-Fly, all have much better prices, a FRIENDLY and HELPFUL staff, and FAST service. It seems like every time I stop at Game Haven, the employee is talking to a friend who isn't buying or looking at anything and I have to wait twenty minutes for the conversation to end while I wait at the counter. I don't mind, but every once in a while, I'm in a hurry and it's bothersome. Also, it took a few visits before most of the staff warmed up to me (like they were testing if I deserved to shop there), they have a real elitist attitude. Now that I'm "accepted," It's not a problem, and they are all friendly. But it is a bit intimidating to new customers (if you can't prove you are a "nerd," they don't want you there). Whatever you do, though, don't bring in cards to trade/sell. Trade prices are meh. But more importantly, you will get eye rolls, sighs, and annoyed attitudes from the staff every time. It's tiresome to the staff and they want you to know it. I don't know why they still take trade-ins if they...
