It must be noted that this is about the venue itself, and in no way a reflection on the acts that play there. We recently attended the "KISS America" concert. The very first thing that must be said, if you attend a show at this place, get the general admission tickets ONLY. There are two, "VIP" options also available. One, a VIP option that is a "patio" which is on the side of the stage and included a "meet and greet" with the band before they go on stage. These, for this show was $25 plus additional fees and costs. That's $10 plus, (approximately $20) more than the general admission price. Unlike the Elmwood park venue, which has a nice, elevated, fenced patio, this is the ground next to the stage. A general admission ticket, can stand literally within a few feet, directly beside it, and have the same view. The meet and greet, seemed brief, as it took place as the band was making their way onto the stage, and quite dark. Much shorter than when they sat down at a table, in a well lit, autograph signing after the show. Talking and taking pictures with the general admission fans for no additional charge. The other VIP Option, is a skybox view; with an exclusive beer and wine vendor, and a porta-John. These tickets are $40 plus fees. (Approximately $50) Which is about $30 more than the general admission tickets. No waiting in the beer line? Or the bathroom line? Chairs and a table on a roof top of the building directly beside the venue? Sounds good. However, you had the choice of Miller Lite, or Carona. Both in a can. And two kinds of wine. One of which, was also in a can. But, if you went down to the regular beer tender, you could get a variety of adult beverages. So, you end up standing in the beer line anyway, to get something decent. Unlike the Elmwood park venue, where you get 2 beers and food included in the deal. They didn't provide even the most basic snack items, like popcorn or chips. And you purchased each and every beverage, having to go down to the ground to get it. The view, about the equivalent to the nosebleed seats at the Burgland center. At least, being above the crowd, you can smoke a cigarette in that section you pay so much for. Right?... Nope, you still have to walk all the way down and to the back, underneath the bridge. As a matter of fact, there is not one, not one single, solitary, benefit or privilege you get that general admission people don't. In either of the more costly options. Not one. The place itself is fairly nice. But, it's a money scam to get anything other than a $15 general admission ticket. Apparently, it is pet friendly. It would have been nice to have been told that before we went. But all in all, pretty disappointing. And I must say again.... no reflection on the bands. Had a good time despite the venue and the money we paid for, something.... I'm not sure what. It's an excellent place. Only that any VIP ticket is unnecessary. It serves no one any benefit above what a general admission ticket will get you. I never said that you didn't have posted anywhere that it is pet friendly, just that it would have been nice to know it before. Simply because we would have brought ours. Perhaps, instead of telling me that I just shouldn't attend there, that it "might not be for me", maybe you should consider making it to where a much higher price ticket has advantages that a much less expensive ticket doesn't. Since you speak for your pricing in such a way as you don't even consider what I have pointed out, and rather than be willing to look at making any changes that might make it worth the cost of a VIP option, then I feel that it is necessary for people to know that they only need to spend the money for a regular ticket. They can have just as good of a time, get just as much, for $15 as they can for $40. Thank you for your response, but wow, really? Not, we'll take a look at it, or, we're sorry you felt you had no advantage to your VIP ticket. But instead, basically, if you don't like it don't come. Good business sense, I guess. Again, thanks for your response, I'm sure...

WaiTed in line a total of an hour for something to drink . Waited in line with wife twice ,once 25 minutes and 40 minutes the other to use restroom . All this after waiting an hour to get in and walking a mile to get there . So all in all it's the perfect place to go and wait .10 portajohns and 8000 people makes for an unforgettable evening . I wouldnt go back of Christ himself was doing a free show. I will clarify my statement for the owner who replied that the beer wait was 15 min . First I was in line for the wrist band for 20 minutes . Then I was in line for beer for 20 minutes two times . I counted 9 portajohns right before the seeing area and on the way out I was looking for more and I did see one more close to the entrance . I must be blind because I left my wife in line and went to find more maybe with shorter lines , I didn't see them if they were there . We did in fact wait in the restroom line once 25 min and once 40 min . The line was so long that we actually went back to our seats one time to wait it out but mother nature prevailed and we were right back in line . As far is the amount of people I am not sure but it seemed like a million when your waiting in line about to bust while the guy who you paid to see is playing your favorite song . I would hope that the owner would not make his patrons out to be untruthfull in his reply . This is my honest opinion ,I have no reason to be untruthfull about my...

This venue has become one of the worst places to try and see a concert and enjoy yourself because of security treating people so bad. I was harassed tonight for taking pictures using a camera which is stated plainly is allowed as long as it doesn't have a detachable lens. But the same so called security guy that usually hassles everyone else decided tonight was my turn apparently. Which I surprised he took time away from smoking pot in his vase long enough to come threaten me. What wasn't surprising is I am a cancer patient and this venue I guess targets people like me cause I've witnessed another person that was "sick" being harassed before. I figured when my feeding tube fell out from under my shirt because the tape holding it sweated loose, and security saw people helping me tape it back, that I'd be hassled and I was. Pity this place doesn't do better than this. ( I did not have a bag of any kind, i've never carried any type of bag, medical or otherwise. Check your own surveillance video and you can plainly see this. I have plenty of witnesses that can and will back up my claims. Waynette, you have met me and you know I have never caused an issue at your venue, ever. I did not lie...

This was the first time I have been to this concert venue and it will definitely not be the last. I came to see the greatest band in the land Blackberry Smoke. They did not disappoint as usual. I also got turned on to the Vegabonds who did not disappoint either. I really love your venue and the vibe. In today’s world I found you over delivered for your guest. Great experience getting in. Beer pricing was awesome @ $5 plenty of Bathrooms. I did not eat anything but I would assume it was probably pretty good to. There are a lot of concert venues that could take a lesson from you all on how to do it right. Thanks and Keep doing what you do. I will definitely be back soon

I love the venues our little city has. Dr Pepper is a beautiful place to see a show! It has a great view of the Star on Mill Mountain as well. There's alcohol and food trucks on site. The area is open and spacious with no bad seats. Shuttles run for parking, which there's a garage right across from it..some parking is available around the area but not at the small clusters of businesses right outside of the venue (Starbucks, Moe's). The venue will email the ins and outs but make sure you take notice of what is allowed and what's not allowed. You'll have no regrets going to Dr Pepper Park!
