AAFES Main Exchange — Attraction in Rock Island Arsenal

For the RIA being a smaller base, their exchange still has a great selection for uniforms. They usually have a good amount of product and great deals on their electronics. For those who are of age, this Exchange carries a wide variety of spirits and alcohol as well as tobacco products. Most soldiers and civilians who are coming from larger posts would call this a "shopette". The nicest thing here is that you can easily find what you are looking for....and the staff...

I don't want to give this a bad review because everyone that works here is extremely nice. It is just SUPER small. When I say small I don't mean a small PX I mean it is basically a medium sized shopette. For those who have ever been at Fort Bragg it would be like the Smoke bomb Hill Shopette. They have a tiny area for electronics and it is also the clothing and sales. It is a small base though with very few active duty so that explains some...

I don't blame it. At least they have a clothing and sales and shoppette. In a near future Rock Island Arsenal PX should begin construction of a bigger PX like at least the one In Fort Hamilton, in Brooklyn, NY.
