Bowl & Brush Salon — Attraction in Rocky Hill

This is an unfortunate review as I have to make it known how the owner runs, or fails to run, a professional business as she would call it. How the owner treats PAYING customers is absolutely appalling and shouldn’t be accepted for any business of course unless she wants to do poorly. She claims the policies are “black and white” but not true. Her stylists on board are just as unprofessional making people pay for rescheduling an appointment by CHOICE of the stylist cancelling due to timely notification of a late showing of an appointment WITH multiple apologizes. The condescending tone of voice and blasting on social medial shows the true professionalism. Blasting on social media that the customer is wrong even though the policy was being following, completely out of line harassing customers by calling their cell phones leaving messages just to blame to customer for the situations and best of all blaming people (see other reviews) for low reviews TO THE POINT they delete all reviews on Facebook and then seek out to IG to again blast their clients. I feel sorry for the owner feeling the need to do this implying and seeming that they have to defend EVERYTHING via social media because they are doing poorly? Lauren from Bowl and Brush masterfully color corrected my hair from a poor application at a different salon. She was professional, kind, non-judgemental, and genuine, and worked with me to collaborate on a vision for my hair that was not only possible, but gorgeous. Lauren is not only a stylist, but the owner of Bowl and Brush, which she has crafted into an on-trend, welcoming, serene, and relaxing salon experience. There are personal touches all around the salon that lend their hand to her meticulous attention to detail and eye for design, two qualities that extend to her ability to create beautifully blended hair styles. Lauren has also cultivated a team of young, professional stylists who are all experts in their own right, promoting their talents to significant numbers of followers across their social media profiles. This is important because it creates a very empowering environment in the salon, no matter where you turn, women are genuinely interacting, enjoying each other's company, and coming out with a refreshed sense of confidence from whomever just artfully crafted their color.

I wholeheartedly recommend Lauren to females of all ages looking to fall in love with their hair again in a salon where you are treated with respect, care, and grace from a group of wildly talented women and their wildly talented male...

Been coming for 6 years and I love coming here every time. Every single time I have come here I have given Nicole very little direction, yet have absolutely loved my hair none the less, whole heartedly!! The salon is decorated super cute, snacks, coffee, water, great music and WiFi all available, plus girls who are super sweet! Highly recommend! The stylists are all independent business owners inside of Lauren’s salon, so you have to book with them individually, but people, give these women some grace! They are busy with clients during the day, and with their own families in the evenings. It may take them a few days to respond to your calls/messages.
