I was not impressed.
There were a few issues with the tuxes for all the groomsmen of the wedding I was in, such as stains, discoloring, ripped seams. However, I want to leave this review based on my specific experience as one of the groomsmen.
When I went to get measured beforehand, the associate didn’t seem too confident or experienced on what they were actually measuring. Fast forward to picking up the tux, nothing fit properly. I’m not sure what the point of getting measured first was. The tux pickup was not very personal at all. It was as if a factory and all the men were shuffled through quickly. The first pants didn’t fit, the tux jacket didn’t fit, my white shirt seemed to be stained yellow in the collar. I didn’t leave until I was confident I had a tux that fit properly.
I found out soon after from the bride that my pocket square was the wrong color. I had to switch it with the best man and that’s when I learned it wasn’t even a pocket square. It was a piece of fabric cut, without being hemmed, and pinned inside the pocket. I inquired when I dropped off the tux and that is their usual process. That’s not my standard but if that’s their process, so be it. More importantly though, that does not explain why my pocket square was a different color than the other groomsmen.
The shoes felt like cheap plastic discount store shoes. I changed into a more comfortable quality formal shoe after the ceremony. I was told the cuff links are in a bag in the shoes, which they were. However, there were no button studs in that bag, which left the suit incomplete.
I dropped off my tux along with the father of the brides suit. That suit had some red stain on the sleeve which was present when he first put it on. I inquired about this stain and was told I would receive a call back once further information was found. I never received that call.
I honestly feel this was the lowest quality tux I’ve ever worn. I do not plan on going back or recommending this place to anyone.
EDIT 6/26 I cannot directly respond to the response below, so I will add to my original review. I thought I arrived exactly at 11:00am when the doors opened, I could be mistaken. This was not the first time I rented a formal suit. It just seemed like a lot of extra alterations that the measuring was suppose to prevent. I would be interested in viewing this footage. I do not recall one person being with me the full 30 minutes. I do remember at least 3 different people helping me, which did not feel personal. I never said I did not look great, I can make anything look great. I also didn't say the shirt was not bright white, it appeared yellow to me. Perhaps it was my eyes and the off white color. I wore the shirt, so it must not have been that bad.
I have a passion and interest in formal wear. The pocket squares threw me off and I didn't expect the cutouts pinned in the pocket. I did not drop off the fabric so I don't know how much there was and I was not aware of the process, that much is correct. I do know my color was wrong and I pricked myself trying to take out the pocket square. It wasn't a pleasant experience.
I questioned the studs because one of the groomsmen did receive studs, and they looked blue. I was surprised and curious why nobody else had studs. Now I'm wondering why one of us received studs?
I cannot argue the stain. I only know what I've seen and what I'm told. I will leave that to the video footage and wedding pictures. I would have appreciated a call at the stated time though with this further explanation.
There may have been some miscommunication on both ends and that’s unfortunate.
EDIT 8/17 After reading the response to my sister’s review, as well as mine, it seems like a horrible way for a business to respond to an unsatisfied customer. I never expected, or asked, for a refund. You admitted a best man was not specified on the form. My question is, instead of asking the bride to confirm, you randomly guessed?

Read moreWe chose Formals by Antonio for our wedding because we had rented from here as a part of another wedding previously. Our initial appointments were great. The woman who helped us (Magda? – I can’t quite remember) was very pleasant to work with. She had such a positive attitude and assured us everything would go smoothly. It was so easy going in – picking out tuxes for my husband and his groomsmen. We knew our bridesmaid dresses were going to be mauve, but we had to wait for swatches/scraps from my bridesmaids’ dress alterations in order to get Formals by Antonio a perfect match for the groomsmen ties. They also offered to make pocket squares out of the scrap materials, which I thought was a nice service.
We had gone back a couple of weeks before our wedding to get my husband re-measured since he had lost some weight since the initial appointment. This is also when we provided the scraps/swatches of fabric for the pocket squares. When we were checking out to schedule a pickup date, the woman reconfirmed all our information and who would be getting what (between the ring bearers, groomsmen, father of the groom).
Unfortunately, the two days before our wedding – we hit a bump in the road. We got a phone call from the Best Man and Father of the Groom stating that when the Best Man picked up his tux, they didn’t provide a vest or tie. I spoke with an employee on the phone and I was extremely unhappy that I had to deal with this crisis two days before our wedding when we had the details planned for months. My husband was set to wear a tux, suspenders, bowtie, and black buttons with his shirt. The groomsmen were supposed to be wearing the same tux, but with a vest and regular mauve tie. Formals by Antonio claimed they left the forms/paperwork with “TBD” because they thought our wedding colors might change since we booked with them so early (March for a November wedding). They mentioned they also assumed that me and my husband would be providing ties for our groomsmen. I am not sure why that assumption was made when it never came up in conversation. They were able to rectify the situation pretty quickly and found a tie to match. One other groomsman had already picked up his tux at this point, so we had to have the Best Man get him the right tie and vest. They had given that groomsman black buttons and a bow tie, so I’m curious if they thought he was the groom.
The tuxes looked great on our wedding day and Formals by Antonio worked well with our groomsmen that were coming out of state, which were three. I’ve had pleasant experiences with them in the past, so I am hoping this is just a fluke – but it was very stressful, given it was for our wedding and errors...
Read moreAll my groomsmen and fathers had poorly fitted tuxes.
Our photos look ridiculous.
We all came in for fittings months before the wedding.
When they came in for final fittings nothing fit and they had to try on multiple sets of different sized clothes. It was like they didn't even take measurements the first time. They were given stained paints and shirts, some unwashed with strong body odor, to try on.
The shoes were a complete disaster with several pairs damaged beyond belief.
Despite being fitted ahead of time excuse was always "we are out of that" or "we don't have that size". They staff was apologetic and professional, but couldn't solve the problems.
I would not recommend Formals By Antonio.
Notes from the reply:
"We own our entire inventory which is stocked in store, so the statement “we don’t have that size” is inaccurate and would have never been said to you. "
False, 100% false. Two of my "pre-measured" groomsmen could not get the right jacket size. Even I as the groom had to wear a jacket meant for another member of my part because you didn't have any more in stock.
Seriously laughing out loud about the parts of there reply about tips on "jacket buttons" and how to wear pants as if that makes a 48L fit like a 46R. Ridiculous.
Finally, saying "sorry the shoes aren't up to your standards" does not reflect how damaged they were. A few scuffs is fine but deep gouges were visible in the shoes. When I asked for new ones I got "we don't have more in that size". I actually wore a completely different shoe because there wasn't any more in that...
