This was the best dining experience my family and I have ever had, hands down! We took the ferry over from Glastonbury which was fun for the kids, and all had the lobster roll platters. The french fries were cut in a unique shape and were all perfectly fried. The coleslaw, usually the least desirable element of such a platter, was delicious, fresh and crisp, and actually all of my kids ate all of it. The lobster roll was amazing- large chunks of sweet lobster with a light dressing and a little dill, served on a perfectly grilled extra- long roll. Definitely one of the best lobster rolls we have ever had! The set up was great with lots of clean picnic tables and everything was very clean and orderly inside the grill when we ordered. Also, the food came out really fast- and with kids that is so helpful! The only down side to this experience was that it started pouring as we were finishing our meal and we had to get in the car. But we didn't let that get us down- it was such a fun day! We will definitely be back to do this again when the weather is a...

I was really craving a hot lobster roll, so I searched online and came across this little hidden spot with great reviews. It’s tucked away in a nice, quiet area and has a cozy feel. I ordered two hot lobster rolls for me and my husband—$35 each and came with fries. Our son had the chicken tenders and fries.

I also ordered a cup of clam chowder, but was disappointed to see them warming it up in the microwave. That kind of took away from the “fresh seafood” experience I was hoping for.

Unfortunately, the lobster roll was way too salty, and I even found a hair in mine. I was going to say something, but my husband said to just leave it alone and decided we wouldn’t be back. The coleslaw was full of black pepper and really unpleasant.

One bright spot was their sweet little daughter who was helping clean up—she came over and kindly asked if we had any trash for her to throw out. My husband gave her a little tip—such a cutie and a hard worker.

Overall, it’s a nice location and has a lot of potential, but the food didn’t meet...

NOT WORTH IT!! VERY DISAPPOINTING! Went here with my family with an open mind based on the articles that came out regarding it, but for spending $100 with 6 people it was not worth that price. My dad ordered a shrimp po boy sandwich, you expect a shrimp po boy to be fried shrimp on a hearty hoagie roll- no this was small looked like boiled shrimp on PITA BREAD drenched in a sauce. My mom ordered the fried shrimp and got six shrimp in a paper boat with nothing else. My friend chicken sandwich was a frozen chicken patty- Wendy's chicken sandwich is better. The fried clams were overcooked could barely be eaten. This was so upsetting especially with bringing family from out of state. Don't fall for the "fancy" language put in articles and posted online....

I’ve been coming to this place for years, we want to welcome the new owners. The calamari was good and my son was happy with his hot dog, I love the scenery. My only major disappointment was seeing the owner using only one glove and the other hand bare, while she was prepping burgers for customers. Seeing her touch the bun and making the burger with her bare hand, grabbing the cheese and lettuce, then only using the other hand with the glove to touch the hot fries (while before helping in the kitchen, she was emptying the garbage). The prices are a little pricier for the food, we still wish the best to the new owners. I think it needs more organization, we waited 40 minutes just for a hot dog and calamari.

My season-long quest to find outdoor roadside grills in Connecticut landed me today at The Ferry Grill & Chill. Located in Rocky Hill on the Connecticut River, it is accessible by car and/or boat. The view is awesome, and the food is great. While I got the 8 ounce hamburger, I noted they have a 4 ounce burger for smaller appetites. My meal came to just over $18, but I am a big guy with a big appetite. You can spend less and not leave hungry. As you will see in the photo, the burger is quite large, and the fries are plentiful. All very delicious. In fact, this may be the best burger I have found yet! The service is quick and friendly. I will definitely be returning!
