Video Games Plus, comes from a long legacy of businesses in Douglas County. Never passed along to several sons which included Umpqua video, which also parted out into galaxy video under different ownership's. At that time video games plus was established by one of the sons. It did not take long for this company to make its foot print on the community. Previously there had never been a used video game, or used video facility other than Umpqua video and galaxy video. Video games plus came in right at the perfect time as the gaming industry was taking on. Kids could come in their and trade their games that they paid $39 for. And get 10 or more in credit in the store. This allowed people to come in by game used and then turn around and sell it even to the business when they were done. I've never been one to sell our products there we have multiple video games in stock at our homes and never sold them to video games plus or anybody else. But there is a huge market of video games plus for resale of products. In the last 10 years they have expanded into the DVD and Blu-ray resale, which is helped expand their business. While video rental companies such as Umpqua and galaxy video basically denied list in the market around here. It is nice to see the exchange of DVDs working just like videogames do not store. The store has slowed down on its videogames. An older games have now rebounded for a much higher price. As an example, many old Nintendo games were going for $5-$10 are now going for 15 to 20. Almost as much as new PlayStation games go for used. Which is typical for the market as it thins prices go up. The company goes through a lot of employees and you seldom ever see the original owner in the facility. Many of our family members accused video games plus over the years and have been pleased with...
Read moreRip off kings, defective products and horrible customer service. They're selectively nice to certain people then very rude to others. Have you ever seen the episode of Malcolm in the Middle where Hal is trying to get Malcolm a comic book but they basically tell Hal is isn't worthy of one? That's how these employees are, with the exception of one girl. They will gleefully rip you off. They were really rude to my grandpa a couple years ago never going to forget that either, boy you're tough picking on an 80 year old man who just wants a regular original nintento controller. Their controllers always stop working also, right after 30 days whether its nintendo, play station, xbox they all quit working. If you're selling anything, do it on eBay or anywhere else even trader toms will give you a better deal. I'm surprised they can fit through the door their heads are so big. 6 months ago I had a variety of games I was going to sell, discs and some older Nintendo games (mind you the prices they charge for the old Nintendo games are insane) 5 of them were still in the plastic and those disc's for the newer consoles are very expensive. So are the older Nintendo games. Most of them weren't "good enough" even the ones in plastic, the art on the older ones can't have a single flaw, fast forward a few months later I made almost 1k selling them elsewhere they offered me under $100, these people are so extra and over the top get over yourselves you can't even answer basic questions about half the games I asked about. You should at least know your product if you want to walk around with your nose in the air. Their board games are even over priced it's insane people must not ever look anywhere else why they...
Read moreVery upset with this place, brought in a ps4 vr headset in excellent condition, maybe 3 or 4 hours of use then about 3 months of dust on it, didnt use it enough to justify having it so figured i would sell it. They started by cleaning it off with WINDEX! i had not cleaned and figured they would know the right way so i went with it. This caused the microfiber to start dissolving almost instantly, the pads are ruined. Everything ive hence read about cleaning this headset clearly states, do not use alcohol or ammonia to clean, windex has a heavy saturation of ammonia, this also destroys the lenses. 1 star for lack of product knowledge, -2 more for trying to claim it was heat related.
Response to owner: I have brought in this headset 3 times, first time i forgot the camera, second time forgot the game it comes with, on the first visit they "cleaned" the headset using windex, it was dusty but in good shape follwed by an offer of 125 when i retrieve the game, on the 3rd trip is when the deterioration was noted, this headset was used for 3 hours on GT sport but due to the effects it had on me i could not use it. After some brief research online i found that the use of anything with ammonia or alcohol in it will damage the headset, i am no longer interested in...
