Just an fyi… went there after two years cuz I was feeling nostalgic and wanted to have wine with my daughters and their friends. Yes over 21.. well since when has it been ok to be condescending and low key racist? I wanted to purchase bottles so my daughter can take it back with her on her trip back home and I could have some at home. They already explained we couldn’t open them so no problem. But it was like she didn’t want to sell them to us cuz we were going to open them there🤦🏽♀️even though she clearly said we couldn’t open them which we said ok. Than I asked if we could purchase a bottle for us all and they pour it for us cuz basically a whole bottle would be fine for us all and than we could do some taste testing. Nope here comes another condescending person stating they can’t do that! ok so what wines can we taste and both were bothered by that question cuz they rolled their eyes one turned around while the other showed us the menu…. The two hispanic guys with us saw the eye rolls from outside and texted my daughters and we just left. I Really had my heart set on a wine tasting like old times yet the vibe they gave us we decided it was NOT worth staying there. The women who work there now are not the same class of women from before and it’s sad we couldn’t get a bit of nostalgia from the past. I’ve heard a few others in my circle experienced the same problem and that’s why they stopped going too. I really miss lynfred sad the quality of service isn’t as up to par for the Hispanic community as it use to be. My niece just told me she had the same issue also and it was their first time so she wanted to experience wine tasting too since she knew I loved it. Her and her friends left and went to polyannna to do some flights there. Sooo...
Read moreLynfred winery, a wine gem hidden around beer bars and strip malls you'd never expect to find deep in suburbia. They have select wines for tasting every month and a full (house wine) bar available. The bar and shop have a cabin feel with wood paneling everywhere and softer light that gives a rather cozy feeling. The shop is smaller but works for its purpose with snack sausages, cheeses, crafts, wine novelty items and of course wine for sale. The bar is clean and small but just like the shop suits it's purpose well. The bartenders were very friendly and even arriving after tasting hours still poured a glass for my wife and I. They appear to have a glass maximum per a posting by the door to only allow 2 glasses of wine so as to not allow patrons to leave drunk. Which is good and responsible in my eyes. The wine is strong and delicious, so 2 glasses goes down quite nicely. The distillery area is very clean a loaded with stainless stills and piping. I was told they also do tours of the distillery floor, which I would be very interested in, and attached to the distillery is the banquet room. I didn't not see this room as there was a wedding just finishing up when we arrived. The building itself is also quite nice. The drive around the building is brick and the 2 story building had nice and well kept landscaping. The parking lot however was rather small. There were a few spots next to the shop but in the rear is the main parking with about a dozen or so spots. But the winery is located next to a shopping strip and train crossing with ample parking. We purchased 2 wines from here and after they are gone we will definitely...
Read moreFrom check in to check out the service and accommodations was second to none! My wife & I spent our first night of marriage at Lynfred Winery and Bed & Breakfast. Upon arrival, we found a bottle of red and white “ Wedding Wine” and a charcuterie plate as part of our reservations. The assorted meat, cheese, fruit and bread was fresh and excellent tasting. We stayed in the French room that was a perfect setting which gave us the feeling that we were actually is “Paris”. The room featured a wood burning fireplace which included instant start logs, a whirlpool tub, French fixtures, chandeliers and all the charm of a small apartment in France. The heated towel bar was a bonus as well. The decor was very impressive. The mini bar included water and pop at no extra charge. The bed was extremely comfortable. All the lighting was on dimmers to set the stage for a romantic evening. The included full breakfast prepared by the chef was not only the best breakfast from a hotel/bed & breakfast the two of us ever had, but was an unbelievably portion size to accommodate anyone’s hardy appetite. It was delivered to our semi-private deck where we enjoyed an outdoor relaxing breakfast. The entire staff was friendly, professional and ready to assist us in any way to make our stay a memorable one. Although this was our first stay at Lynfred, it won’t be the last. There are four themed rooms and our future plans are to enjoy all of them to experience the different countries without leaving the United States! As you can see, we could not have been happier with our stay!||Thanks to all the staff and ownership for all you did to make our stay a...
