Review from a non-drinker's perspective. My wife and I have been enjoying the entertainment here since about 4 years ago. Really makes for a nice relaxing evening with food and wine and other alcoholic beverages available. The selection of wines/alcohol is apparently decent. I don't drink but I haven't heard anyone complain. Recently the winery has implemented some restrictions on what you can bring into the venue as far as outside beverages, INCLUDING water and soft drinks. I totally understand restricting outside alcoholic beverages, as this is how the winery makes it's money. Selling and promoting it's house products as well. Now, from a non-drinker's perspective. I REALLY enjoy a selection of various soft drinks for leisure and hanging out. Some nights I'll go with a diet Mt Dew, a flavored San Pellegrino, or a diet ginger ale. This is just naming a few. With the winery's new policy of no outside drinks, my choices are Diet Coke (the worst diet soft drink known to man) or water. (I don't drink sugary drinks) I don't understand why an exception cannot be made to their "no outside beverages" policy to allow bringing your own soft drink as long as it is in an unopened container (can or bottle without the seal broken) Instead I'm sitting here unable to enjoy my evening slowly sipping a disgusting Diet Coke while all my alcohol drinking friends enjoy like 50 different selections of beverage available. Either offer a much greater selection of soft drinks and diet soft drinks or go back to allowing people to bring their own. I'm sure this review will come across like one man screaming on a mountain top, as I'm sure there aren't many non-drinker's in your average vinoski crowd. This is scary in it's own right, as I'm sure 90% of the people leaving are over the legal b/a limit and jumping in their cars and driving. How about a little love for us designated drivers out here instead of forcing us to buy friggin Diet Coke and expecting us to enjoy our evenings. This review has turned into a bit of a rant, and I'm sorry about that. It mainly stems from the fact I have always really enjoyed my times here at Vinoski, but now that I can't drink what soft drink I want to drink it's like a huge bummer. When my wife asks me to go, now I have to think about it. Do I feel like drinking awful diet Coke for 4 hours,? Thanks Vinoski. Oh. On a side note, their brick oven pizza is raw both times I've tried it. Not sure how they can not cook an 1/8" paper thin crust all the way through, but they simply can't. The dough is raw.

On a scale of documentaries to romance novels, Vinoski Winery is a collection of summer poetry. This sprawling property offers the perfect location for that summertime escapade of wine, live music, friends, and laughter. Tucked south of the city, the gorgeous building sits atop a hill, and you don't see it until you make the turn into the winding driveway. I have only attended evening events here, but I have loved how you can bring your own food, chairs, blankets. For me, it's reminiscent of a summer day sitting by the Danube River in Vienna, sipping wine with friends with the general ambient sounds. Vinoski does have tables -- both patio tables and picnic tables; however, some events require that you monetarily reserve the patio tables. Alcohol can be purchased on the lower level of the house. Sometimes they have the options set up outside, and sometimes purchases need to be made inside. I have enjoyed every wine I've had there, but I particularly enjoy their Blueberry and Cherry wines. Parking is on the lawn. Portapotties line one side of the back driveway; however, there are public bathrooms on the lower level of the house. Pro Tip: Take your own food (sometimes they have a food truck or their pizza place open) and your own seating. Groups chose to play frisbee on lower lawns (seriously this property is HUGE), and if you plan to stay late, bring bug spray or a candle.

This is a beautiful place, but that's about all I can say for the positive. Parking is awful. They tried to expand it by making spaces on a steep hillside with large gravel rocks that are terrible to walk on. We went for what was advertised as "Rib Fest" and a tribute band last night. There were TWO (which does NOT make it a fest, btw) food trucks supplying ribs, chicken, etc, so the normal "kitchen" was closed and not second food. We got there at 6:30, which is when it was supposed to start, got a bottle of wine, set up our chairs and got in line for food. Which is where we stood for the next 90 minutes, only to be told when we FINALLY got close to the front of the line, that the only thing the truck had left were chicken nachos and not very many of those! We did NOT get to sit down & enjoy the band we paid nearly $30 to see. We came right after work, assuming we'd enjoy ribs, brisket, chicken, SOMETHING BBQ'd, and we were left out $60 (for tickets, a bottle of wine and a beer) and starving. While other local wineries may not look like a "castle", they do tend to take better care of their patrons. After yesterday's experience, I cannot recommend this establishment.

Attended a show from one of my favorite Philly area bands. The grounds are lovely. Concert set up...weird. Band plays on a balcony and there are tables and chairs available below on the patio to reserve; for $125 that you get back in form of a gift card. This was originally a ticketed event, which I bought tickets for and I reserved a table very early. The week before the show it became a free event and I was refunded my ticket price. The table was still guaranteed reserved. We arrived at the venue shortly after 5 PM for the 6 PM show. We were shown to a table near the back of the patio, I inquired that since I had reserved so early could I get a table closer to the band? I was told the tables were numbered and I couldn't switch. I then witnessed a gentleman working there changing table numbers for people that it seemed may have been locals or regulars. We then went inside to get a bottle of wine, I asked if I could try the Pinot Noir and was told it was bottle sales only and "tastings" were over at 5 PM. I didn't ask to taste 7 kinds, just one that I was about to spend $30 on. I have never been to a winery, brewery, distillery, etc. that would not offer a taste. I bought the Pinot Noir which was quite thin and lacking. Since we had $125 to spend, I also bought a small fruit/cheese/cracker tray that was $12 & quite lovely and bottle of Merlot that was still not stellar but much better than the Pinot Noir. I believe it was also around $30. There were QR codes on the tables that said "Skip the line. Order here." But when you tried, the ordering was unavailable so if you wanted pizza...get in line. The band was great, we met really nice people sitting next to us and we had fun. Would we ever go back? No, probably not. The wine is not good enough to draw me there, the set up is odd, no servers, tables smashed in really close. Overall a pretty...

Good but kinda awkward for a music venue. Crowd was really chill though and there was no security outside of the VIP area on the concrete where the tables were.

It was my first time there for Twiddle and I got a pretty good spot for recording with my mics. Next time, im going to TRY to record from the very front of the VIP area, because the sound was phenomenal up front that close. But i still managed to pull a decent recording from the very back of the VIP area, right in front of the SBD/FOH area.

Everyone was cool and in great spirits and I had a very good time. The FOH crew were very nice and accommodating and let me setup right against the front of the SBD/FOH area. But i have known those guys for many years and they knew i wouldn't be causing any trouble that close to the foh area.

And about Twiddle's performance, it was AMAZING as always. Those guys just get better and better. I first saw them in 2014 at Summer Camp in ILLINOIS, and even though that set was phenomenal too, they are much tighter and explorative in regards to their jams AND vocals. These guys have become one of my top 3-5 bands over the years, and their Resonance 2017 set is what really hooked me!!! I've been a major fan ever since and besides Phish, these guys are #2 in my book, right in front of the Biscuits and STS9 😉

Overall I had a BLAST last night for Twiddle and I will DEFINITELY be going back to the Vinosky Winery in the future. Next time, I might pay the $125 for a VIP table just so I can get closer for a better...
