Bills Golfland — Local services in Rostraver Township

We don't hit golf balls, play mini golf, dek hockey or video games, but Bill's has such a big menu of good homemade foods & a wide variety of icecream items, we used to often go there for lunch or dinner. We haven't been there for about 5-6 years, and I have to say that we noticed some changes. Bill always used to sit in the lottery booth and he was such a delight to have a conversation with. Now no one is in the lottery booth and there's a sign stating that they will not pay out on winners! That, in & of itself is a reason we wouldn't go back. The food we ordered was ok...nothing to brag about. It was disappointing, too, that you can no longer do the outside "walk-up" window to order icecream. The young girls who work the registers and take orders are very friendly and when you're ordering food, you can see back into the icecream prep area & I've never seen it look dirty, and it always looks organized. I have always liked going there, but it's definitely not the same; you can tell that whoever is running this place now is not as involved or passionate about the food/front end of the business. We would definitely go back again, but it wouldn't be our 1st choice, as it was on this most...

We're long time customers at Bill's. We always enjoyed the home-cooked diner style foods, burgers & fries, and of course, ice cream. Something has really gone downhill. This is the 2nd time in 2 weeks we had really bad experiences. Our check was lost the first week. So after an hour, we finally got the order. I was missing my soup. There were 4 of us and we ate in shifts.

Today's special was hot roast beef sandwich with either mashed potatoes or fries - no veg, no drink, teeny cup of baby applesauce. Again, after 45 minutes, no food. We ordered 2 specials & our son got a burger & fries. I did get my soup this time, vegetable made with garlic😔. The fries and gravy were cold. The meals obviously sat there. I asked for gravy on the side. They covered my fries. The beef was so salty it was inedible unless eating it as a whole sandwich. They offered us ice cream for our wait. I threw away most of my meal. That will be the last $50 we waste. Cheap does...

I always love the food here and have been coming since I was a kid over 40 years ago and now I bring my own children. Tonight we came after our daughters softball game. We had yummy pizza burgers and when finished ordered ice cream. While eating our ice cream there was a man staring hard at us. I turned around and my husband questioned him if something was wrong. He replied “yeah we’re closed”. My husband said what do you want us to do take everything to the car? The manager said “you got 5 minutes”. I’ve been in the restaurant business for over 30 years and have never treated a customer like this and have definitely never been treated this ugly. He could have came to our table and politely let us know the closing time. Anyway, next time we will spend our money elsewhere where they appreciate...
