If you are a parent I'd advise not to have your kids attend this college. I was a student here and they are anti-Christian in many of the classes I took, primarily psychology and history classes. They continue to email you information on abortion help links and absolutely no help links on deciding to keep a baby. They are very "pride" forward and push it on every student with excessive emails and propaganda on campus. While getting an education at ACC it seemed they were more focused on pushing today's views on every student verses you getting an education. Which should be their primary objective for young minds entering the college world. The professors are a hit or miss. I used rate my professor website to get an idea of professors that would be best to take. Mainly because I had to withdraw from several courses due to bad teaching styles. You cannot switch to a different class so that slows down your graduating timeline. The school refuses to budge on that. So be aware. There's definitely a lot of good...
Read moreIn general, ACC has been a bad experience for me from the staff/professors to the website like self-service. I had signed up for one class which never mentioned the whole proctoring software while the other version on self service did. But after payment and a day before class, they decided to update self service and told everyone that I would have to lose my 4th amendment right for the whole proctoring and allowing proctor to have access to my computer. Another class I had signed up for said that the professor was good. Already 2 weeks in, he is terrible and they never said that I will have an online meeting until the professor emailed us the day before class started and I had work the same time as the meeting happened. This professor was also terrible at teaching. And self service never said anything about a meeting until they had updated the website they day before class started. This shows how...
Read moreI would give this school zeros stars if I could. I have had nothing but problems since day one. First of all, trying to schedule an appointment and speak with an advisor is impossible and god forbid you finally get one and they tell you that you should consider changing career options because they wouldn’t want you teaching their 8 year old. Secondly, charging students a ridiculous fine for living out of district is beyond me. I live 15 minutes away from campus and am still considered out of district so guess what my fine was for that? $2000. I can understand out of state but out of district? Crazy. Third, do expect to be given the run around and told to talk to this person, who will refer you to someone else and the chain will never end and your problems will never get solved.
I never had problems like these at my previous community college but this school just infuriates me...
