The food oh my God… So good, well seasoned. At first I was a little freaked out when we pulled up it looked like it was part of the gas station. While I try to remain open minded I just wasn’t feeling 100% positive. I’m glad I went ahead and peaked my head in the door and turned out it was a tiny shop and it’s own section closed off from the rest of the gas station and oh my gosh what pulled me in was the smell....AMAZING! The staff was really friendly there’s no menu but they let us look inside all of the trays on the steam table And let us sample some of the curry goat. That goat was some of the best coat I’ve ever eaten in my entire life spicy well seasoned Yum! I ended up getting the ox tails, plantains, rice and peas and trying the sorrel drink (which tasted like Christmas) So refreshing. The portion was ample for the price. My dining companion got the goat curry in a roti with Channa And some red soda looking drink. The best hole in the wall experience in a long time and so happy we peeked are head in. I plan to be back there’s more stuff I...

I have to give it a 1 for service. It seems that their have been a changed in staff. I've eaten there before and the food was very good. When I went recently the door was locked but I could see steam coming from the server so I decided to call the number in case they were just doing takeout. A lady answered said they were opened and after 7 minutes came to open the door. She let me in withoj6 any greeting and then walked back into the kitchen. After another 10 minutes I started saying hello to get her attention. She came back up and I asked if she was open. She said yes. I tried placing an order but she was out of everything except the stew and jerk chicken. I asked about her hours of operation. Maybe 2pm was still too early for them. She said her hours are not consistent because is short on staff. I wasted 30 minutes of my time and left with nothing. Even with no food ready she could have save her reputation from her interaction from our first encounter on the phone, to opening the doors and not acknowledging me. The last workers were far...

It's so-so. Not sure where the 5 star reviews came from, but it certainly wasn't the stewed chicken. Was really looking forward to trying this, but it just didn't hit the spot.

Had the stewed chicken, rice and peas and plantains. Went at lunchtime, weekday, for take-out.

The chicken - had three pieces served up. They were mainly bone and skin, and what chicken meat I could get probably equated to a heaped spoonful only, ie one mouthful.

Rice was fine, but the peas to me seemed to be overly dry. Plantains were so-so and there were four pieces.

Probably pass on a second try. Had lots of authentic, home-cooked Caribbean food in the past, and I think I've a fair yardstick to measure things by. Perhaps someone was having an off day. Just not fussed about a return visit. Sorry, as I truly wanted wanted to find...
