This park was a 2 minute drive from our condo in Ruidoso. On lazy evenings we stopped by. It is mostly fenced in, has a pavilion that can be rented, and also a full sized basketball Court. My kids particularly enjoyed the sandbox area, but they also had fun on the swings and chasing each other on the wooden equipment. The most important feautre was that I felt safe. It is not right in the middle of town, but super close. It is right by the golf course and luxury condos, also a sports complex. I am sure there are a good mix of other locations nearby, but we are not from this area, just vacationing. It was not overcrowded, and I felt the other familes there were all normal people and mostly local or having a vacation home nearby. I say this because my kiddos made many new friends while there and I visited with their parents as we watched them play. I would recommend this as a totally free option if you need to let the kids get some pent up energy out if you visist the area. It is a great playground and the other families there were great. Maybe we got lucky, but overall I felt safe there with the kids there while Dad did other things, there was plenty of shade for me to chase, and the kids there were all really nice kids and the parents there were actually watching their kids and not just letting them do whatever. Best jungle gym park in Ruidoso. Always a bunch of kids running around enjoying themselves. I’d recommend it to anyone wanting their kids to get out and run!
