My husband and I visited the chapel at dog mountain to honor our boy and were blown away by the peaceful beauty of this place. We recently had to say goodbye to our 16 year old pug who was the absolute little love of our lives and navigating our new normal without him has been very hard. We have been looking for ways to pay tribute to our boy during our healing journey and the chapel allowed us to do just that. Knowing he is there now on the wall surrounded by so much love makes us feel less alone in our loss. It was truly heartwarming to see the impact so many animals have had on so many people. This place is a one of a kind! The gift shop on site is also a must see filled with gorgeous artwork and the women who work there are so warm and welcoming. We left with a few meaningful items and plenty of pup pets! which completed an all around amazing visit. We will most definitely be back to visit our boy. The chapel itself is beautiful, emotional, and sacred, a space filled with love, memories, and tributes to dogs who’ve touched so many lives. Every note on the wall, every photo, every paw print tells a story. It’s powerful and incredibly moving.
The surrounding grounds are just as magical open, peaceful, and joyful. We felt the spirit of unconditional love everywhere, and it’s clear that this place was created from the heart.

The walls are absolutely covered with pictures and notes to beloved dogs that have passed and it’s a really profound monument to the love people have for their dogs. The grounds are beautiful if you want to take a stroll and, of course, dogs are welcome. Not one to enjoy going to chapels but this is an exception. If you’re a dog lover it’s well worth a visit.
