Purchased a new car in 2014. The buying process was pretty smooth, but dealer would not honor any current extra promotions(Remote starter or winter tires with purchase of a new vehicle if I recall) as I was "lucky to get what I did" from my trade in. Their words. Despite that, I still decided to purchase the vehicle. They specifically asked me not to redo my loan through my credit union for 3-4 months to ensure they got "their kickback". Fine I get it, you need to make money, but seriously?
I like to have all of my service work done at the same dealership that I bought the vehicle from if possible. Good will, familiarity and all that. That said, I had all of my services done with the dealership. Most of my interactions were positive. There were a handful of times where I could not get a call back on requests and definitely times where I was never contacted when work was completed as my car sat on the lot for days on end. I can only assume that these guys do not make notes in the system or talk to each other much. Any time I called and didn't talk to the same person the other person had NO CLUE what was going on.
If it's not sales, these folks take days to get back to you, sometimes weeks.
A short word on the provided "loaner" vehicles. The first one was fine, the second one was not. Car was dirty on the inside, wiper fluid and gas lights were on and I would be willing to bet that the tires would not pass an inspection as they were damn near bald. This was DURING THE WINTER! The car was not only unpleasant, but straight up dangerous in any snow or slush.
The best part was that upon returning this second loaner vehicle it was immediately given to another customer. No one bothered to check it out. No one checked fluids or tires, nothing was checked. I made sure to return it as received. I can assure you the gas and wiper fluids were LOW. I can only assume this is why I received the car in the state that I did. When I mentioned this to a service employee at the service desk they could only muster a shrug. They didn't care and did not want to hear about it.
I have now gotten rid of my Ford, getting about $3000 more for it in trade from a dealership up the road than I was offered at TSF. This was after the sales person "lectured" me about how I shouldn't expect what I was expecting for my trade in.
4/10 Will never do business with again.

Read moreAlthough I initially wanted the regular cab, after thinking about it and going to other dealers, I decided and told the salesman on May 31 that I wanted more space in the cab and the ecoboost engine, I was told they only had regular cab and regular engine available. I was also told that the rebates and discounts were going to change for the following month. In retrospect he was clearly more motivated in making the sale then telling me that the NEXT DAY, they would get the truck in that I was looking for. They made it seem that I had no choices. I needed the truck soon so I settled.
When I called 2 days later, seeing the truck I wanted listed on their website as “in stock” the salesman claimed that I didn't say I wanted these things, (I said it, if the salesman didn’t hear it’s because he wasn’t listening to the customer) and that it was my fault for buying the truck I didn't want. I needed the truck but I would definitely have waited one day. The most disappointing thing was how rude and smug both the salesman and his manager were on the phone after the sale. They argued with me and made absolutely no effort to remedy the issue. The manager basically told me it was my fault for being naive.
Even now, instead of asking me what I want and listening they continue to tell me what I wanted, and blaming me for being dissatisfied. Is that customer service? I fully accept that I made a mistake, buying a car from Twin state Ford. I will never make that mistake again.
It's been 2 years and Twin State Ford still has published personal information about me in their response. I tried calling Ford directly but they apparently don't care about the rude and unprofessional conduct of their dealers. I will never buy a Ford again and I have told many people about my experience with this dealership. It seems also that they have faked a number of reviews to keep the rating high, because many people I spoke to said they have heard stories...
Read moreBrought my Mustang in for 2 recalls. Had to wait 1 week for parts to arrive and I was understanding about that. I dropped my car off on time and was again told 3 hours max. I asked for a loaner, which is dealership standard that when they keep your car for a longer period of time they let you use. They told me they did not have available. Keep in mind they were aware I was on a trip. Thousands of miles from home and didn’t have immediate options. But nevertheless, I returned at 3 pm, 5 hours later. My car was in pieces and was told they needed more time. At 5 pm they came to me and told me they needed more time and gave me two options. Leave my car for the night and they would finish it then next day or they would put it back together and I would need to bring it back. I again reminded them I did not have access to a vehicle as I was away from home. In case my Florida plates didn’t give that away. So I said I need my car back but if I drop it off the next morning that I would need a loaner and they said they would talk to the person in charge about it for the morning. Well here I am today dropped my car off and guess what….. No loaner. But….. it should only be 2 hours. Yet he tells me they have to gut the entire interior of my car. Which you and I both know won’t be done in two hours. Now I sit here while I need to be places and doing things. Mind you I was supposed to be on the road yesterday. I said all that to say, not reliable, inaccurate time frames, inconvenient, definitely don’t expect courtesy vehicle, I mean shot I even asked for a ride somewhere and was told no. Yet an older gentlemen who they know can get this service after me. Hmmmmm…….. maybe think about that before you bring your car to Twin State or do...
