I wanted to make a tribute piece for a family who lost a loved one. I spent quite a while looking for just the right pictures and having them enhanced. Once that was done I need them arranged and framed. Where do I go? Chain store? How long will it take? The photo restoring business said the chain stores can take up to two to three weeks. I had a week. I hit the internet, found Carter Ave Frame in my area and stopped in, no appointment needed. Amanda looked at what I had, newsprint from the 60's, photos in sepia, and went right to a mat that really made the theme pop! She then looked a a wall of hundreds of frames and after about the third try we had it. Wow. I am extremely impressed by the shop's work. I came to Carter Ave Frame shop because I had driven past it numerous times and then read some of the reviews online. I had purchased some artwork overseas and when I brought it home I it was a little damaged and I knew that I wouldn't be able to hang it using a cheap frame I found at a craft store. After a consultation with Caleb at CAFS he gave me some really great suggestions and allowed me to think about the look I was going for. I really appreciated his eye and attention to colors and styles. After making some choices I left feeling pretty good about the decisions made and looking forward to the finished product.
