A great place to go to get outside, get some fresh air and enjoy what Minnesota has to offer.
I started walking the lake in June 2023 and from the first day I went, I wanted to walk the lake every day. You can walk this lake in 30 minutes or less, so it's a great way to start the day without over committing. My first day I walked around the lake twice, and the number kept increasing from there. Over the summer, I was able to enjoy the wildlife, like ducks, chipmunks, beautiful birds, butterflies, you name it.
When traveling around the lake, you pass by many different people roller skating, biking, walking, jogging, running, and everything in-between. One of my favorite things is the culture. For the most part, everyone is smiling and says "good morning" to you as you are passing by. We are so Minnesota nice lol but I was very surprised to be greeted so many times by so many smiling faces.
There are places to have a picnic around the lake, as well as hang a hammock.
I stopped to get pictures of the bar & eatery, as well as the rentals that are available for the lake itself.
I love this place so much and at 5:45 am the next day I'm getting ready to head there now with my son and walk the lake again.
I've never walked the lake in the winter, but I definitely want to enjoy it while I can, as...
Read moreINCREDIBLE VIEWS! GOREGOUS LANDSCAPE! MUST VISIT WHEN IN MINNESOTA! We were pleasantly surprised when my friend of 30 + years brought us here while on vacation from Texas. Hands down, there is nothing like this in Texas! So much to see - a zoo, conservatory, park, lake, and much more. Absolutely stunning and breathtaking views, bike trails, events, and natural waterfalls. Simply an incredible place, and I wish we would have made an entire day at this place. Note: it was July 2022 when we got here. I called my friends back in Texas, where it was like 108 degrees! I laughed, because in the park, it was like 82 degrees, and the native Minnesotans felt this was hot! Hilarious! If in Minnesota, your best bet is to travel here. It will take an entire day or so just to...

I'm glad I moved. the lake and nature remain...
