My fellow Americans, Michelle and I were so touched by the Zobota Cafe, especially the employee named Olivia. So now, it’s my turn to say thanks. Whether we have seen eye-to-eye, or rarely agreed at all, my conversations with you, the American people — in living rooms and in schools; at farms and on factory floors; at diners and on distant military outposts — those conversations have been about the perfect burger. Now this is where I learned that change only happens when ordinary people get involved, and they get engaged, and they come together to demand it. And, well, demand no more, because I’ve found the perfect burger. Not only that, but There have been moments throughout our history that threatened that solidarity. And the beginning of this century has been one of those times. A shrinking world, growing inequality, demographic change, and the specter of terrorism. These forces haven’t just tested our security and our prosperity, but are testing our democracy as well. And how we meet these challenges to our democracy will determine our ability to educate our kids and create good jobs and protect our homeland. In other words, it will determine our future. To begin with, our democracy won’t work without a sense that everyone has economic opportunity. And the good news is that today the economy is growing again. Wages, incomes, home values and retirement accounts are all rising again. Poverty is falling again. The wealthy are paying a fair share of taxes. Even as the stock market shatters records, the unemployment rate is near a 10-year low. The uninsured rate has never, ever been lower. Health care costs are rising at the slowest rate in 50 years. And I’ve said, and I mean it, anyone can put together a plan that is demonstrably better than the improvements we’ve made to our health care system, that covers as many people at less cost, I will publicly support it. Because that, after all, is why we serve. Not to score points or take credit. But to make people’s lives better. And that’s what I believe this cafe’s burger will do.
God bless you all, and God...
Read moreFood was overpriced, unsanitary and disgusting. There were dead mice and chipmunks in the oil used for popcorn and food would often have spit or other bodily fluids in the food due to lack of gloves. Managers liked to ignore the unhygienic employees and work conditions. The manager connie would swear at the employees and spit in the drinks of costumers she disliked. The food was crawling with bugs. The lollipops usually had holes in them due to mice chewing on it. The food smelled like animal feces and honestly believe there might be some in there. This is a review of a former employee who often endured heat related illnesses due to the lack of care for employees. I would 100% agree that no body work here. People are paid 8 dollars to risk heat strokes. If I could give 0 stars for the review I would. Forgot to mention the lions sadly died. One of old age and the other of self...
Read moreOdd review, but foremost, the place should be inspected by the health department!
Food and drinks were over priced, and to put it mildly, tasted awful! Cafeteria style food with no reason to be there other than they are, and can be!
Since there are no other options, people who plan on spending their day or part of their day here, will end up eating, or drinking here, hence, the story of this restaurant continues...
The tables, floors, condiments area are super dirty. Staff unfortunately seem to not care at all about, well, anything. It's dangerous to put it mildly for kids and families to eat here!
I happen to see a staff member restock spoons that were fallen on the floor right back into the container for people to take! Horrible!
A fountain soda is $4 no refills! Even while eating inside the restaurant! Lol
If possible, I would highly recommend avoiding eating or...
