WARNING! This park is extremely dangerous. It used to be a nice, beautiful, safe place to walk on the walking/bicycle paths, but lately it has been taken up illegally by people on motorcycles and four wheelers flying through at 45 miles an hour and more.
Walking or riding a bike here is extremely dangerous as you could be mowed down by these people. The paths here are for pedestrians and bicycles only. I have called the police, and they confirmed that it is illegal to ride motorcycles and atvs there, and they send someone out, but surely they show up thirty minutes later and the riders are gone by then.
We need to contact the city and parks department about this. The more people who call the better! If we don't get the city to deal with this it's only a matter of time before someone gets seriously...
Read moreGreat park with an insane amount of nature. Water fountain at the entrance was very dirty, so make sure to bring as much water as you need. Be aware of your surroundings as I have seen coyotes in the park (however they stayed far away from me and didn't show interest) and would recomend pepper spray just in case (especially if you have a dog that may react to the coyote and provoke it). Read moreThis park offered paved trail with shade and sunny areas and benches in a few place along the trail enabling me a place to rest. And ponds for the guys to fish. A beautiful rock garden created by Hanna. Sad to hear about all the vandalism being done to the awesome garden she created by hauling rock, soil, plants in her little red wagon. My 11 years old grandson helped haul 3- 5 gallon buckets up from the pond to water the bed. I am challenging those that live around the park and those visiting the park to help stop the vandalism and help Hanna water the plants...
