Read moreVery surprised at how terrible this place was. I had high hopes with how packed the parking lot was. Service was not good at all. There was no drink menu at all and barely any choice in food. It seemed to be more of a bar than a good place to get a bite to eat. Very very loud with lots of people screaming at the sports shows. Waited about 15 minutes for our drinks and over an hour for our food. I got the fish and chips. Normally the "chips" means fries but it was fried potato slices...not what I was hoping. They were very bland and had no seasoning. My fish wasn't even cooked all the way. It was soggy, like it had been sitting for awhile. Also, it was supposed to come with tartar sauce and coleslaw. Well, it came with some kind of dill dip, which I'm assuming was for the "chips" and no coleslaw. Had to ask for the coleslaw and apparently they had run out. My meal was $12....Also had to keep asking the server, whenever we actually saw her, to refill our drinks.
My husband, dad and cousin all ordered the Shepherds Pie. None of them ever complain about food and not a single one of them were happy. It was a very small serving, which honestly just looked like a side of loaded potatoes. Ingredients that were listed on the menu were not present in the meal. This small meal cost all of them $12 by the way....overpriced! My mom ordered the Sham-Bowl, which is basically the KFC Famous bowl (mashed potatoes, corn, chicken and gravy). She said her potatoes and corn were cold, almost like they hadn't been cooked. Not a single person at my table was happy with the food or the service, or I guess lack of service.
To top everything off, they also add a 2.5% service fee to every bill. I have never seen a restaurant charge a service fee before. No one at our table will ever be back there. We all joked that we could get better service and food at McDonalds. My suggestion: if you are looking for a place to sit down with family to eat in a nice, semi-quiet atmosphere where you don't have to yell to hear the person next to you talking, then this is not the place for you. If you are wanting to sit at the bar, watch sports, yell loudly and drink, then this is the...
Read moreService was terrible. Let me start off by saying yes it was busy. I understand that when restaurants are busy things tend to happen. However, this was a tad on the waiters side of things. Things started off great. He came by, took our drink and food order at one time (again, busy plus we already knew what we wanted pretty much when we got there as we've been to this restaurant a fair amount of times to know what we like here.) Came back shortly after and dropped off our drinks. I had a beer my wife had a soda. About 10-15 minutes later he comes back and let's us know our food is coming up and will be out shortly. Shortly turned into about 20-25 minutes and by the time we got it, it was less than luke warm but we were hungry so we just ate. Despite having our food (finally) the waiter never even came by to check on us. He seemed to be preoccupied with his larger tables. Fine, whatever I can deal. However, my drink had been empty for almost 25 minutes at this point and still no waiter in sight. About 2/3 way through our meal, waiter finally shows up and asks about another beer. At this point I'm done and just request a soda. 10 minutes later, finally get my drink and my meal is already gone. Never once asked how food was. Notices we are both complete with our meals and brings the check. I pay and we leave. Yes, if your curious, I did leave a tip. Not a huge one but I still left one. Will eventually return but will request not to be seated in that section again. The food there is delicious but the service leaves something to be desired. Will leave another review and hopefully the next...
