I had an issue with my Executive Membership, so a supervisor named Josh took my card. Three other supervisors crowded around us, and it seemed like security was also involved. We were able to make our purchase, but Josh said he was taking my card away.
I told the woman at the desk, who was with Garret, that I was the one who was supposed to be using the card. They were all very rude. The woman got the card back and said that next time my dad comes in, he should come to the desk and we can fix this. She said sorry, but I told her that sorrys don't fix it.
They personally targeted me because of my appearance and who I am. They publicly humiliated and embarrassed me, and they did it loudly in front of the store.
I returned hours later with my father. He texted his stepdaughter about it, but she purposely stalled in replying back. He left and did nothing.
While I was there, I went to check out the samples. I went to the Health and Nutrition department, where a woman was serving samples. She decided to make me feel unwelcome. I think her name was Beverley. Instead of telling me about the product, which was for immunity and packed with 14 essential vitamins, she asked me if I was just going to put it in my mouth without knowing what it was.
I read her the label and told her that I was already getting my daily dose of vitamins. She said that those weren't vitamins, but she still failed to tell me about the product. I told her that it said right on the label that it was packed with 14 essential vitamins, so that was close enough. I told her to have a good day.
Costco should be making people feel welcome and safe, not judging them by their appearance or who they are. They should keep their personal grudges elsewhere, and not bring them into their working environment.
Edit: 3/21/2018
While I was there, I saw employees leaving fridge doors open and giving me dirty looks for not closing them. One employee said, "It's not my job. I'm not being paid." employees dropped company property that was attached to their belts on the floor. Overall the store was being poorly mismanaged.
I also went in to help my father pick up a new TV stand. No one was there, and I know I didn't drop my sunglasses. I'm very certain that I left them in the truck. I think one of their employees or someone else stole them while I was loading the TV stand. I went inside to check since no one was really in the section I went to. I asked an employee, and he pulled out some other glasses with the same color frame but said they were aviator glasses. Forcing me to question myself I know my own glasses.

I recently had an encounter at Costco that left me feeling both frustrated and disappointed. As a dedicated shopper who appreciates the convenience of self-checkout, I have always valued the freedom it provides. However, my recent experience made me question the level of customer service I received.
Normally, the self-checkout process at Costco is smooth and efficient. However, I noticed a concerning trendâa selective check for the Costco membership card by the self-checkout attendants. While I have grown accustomed to facing certain forms of discrimination, it is not the focus of my review today. What truly upset me was an incident that went beyond mere card-checking.
During my recent visit, one of the self-checkout attendants took it upon himself to move my shopping cart. Initially, I didn't understand why he did so, as it disrupted the specific arrangement I had created. I take great care in organizing my cartâseparating delicate items like bread from the rest of the groceries and keeping clothing items neatly folded on the little shelf. This meticulous attention to detail is one of the reasons I prefer self-checkout.
Imagine my dismay when, upon completing the payment process, I discovered that the attendant had not only moved my cart but also proceeded to load all my items into it. The result was smashed bread and unnecessary creases on the shirts I had carefully separated. As someone who may be a tad meticulous, this disregard for my shopping preferences was deeply disheartening.
Let me be clear: my dissatisfaction is not an attack on Costco as a whole. I genuinely appreciate everything the store has to offer, and I believe it deserves more than a mere one-star rating. However, I am sharing this experience to bring attention to a concern that deserves addressingâensuring the highest level of customer service.
In a world where exceptional customer experiences set businesses apart, it is crucial for managers to understand the impact of such incidents. Attention to detail, respect for customers' preferences, and a commitment to personalized service are the hallmarks of exceptional establishments. I hope that by sharing my story, I can prompt Costco's management to reflect upon this incident and take appropriate steps to ensure their customer service remains...
Read moreAs a pet owner with a dog reliant on life-saving medications, my experience with Costco Pharmacy has been nothing short of frustrating and disheartening. My dog, Trigger, suffers from an autoimmune disease and requires regular refills of Cyclosporine and Mycophenolate to manage his condition. However, every time it comes to renewing his prescriptions, itâs been a battle with Costcoâs pharmacy staff and management.
The primary issue lies in the lack of communication and organization within their system. Despite repeatedly informing them that the vet clinic I use does not have a fax machine, they fail to make a note in their system. Consequently, for prescription refills, they need to call the vet, but this crucial detail seems to be overlooked every time. The result? Iâm left in the dark until I realize that Triggerâs prescription hasnât been filled, causing unnecessary stress and worry.
To add to the frustration, Costco Pharmacy consistently sends fax information to an incorrect location in Stayton, further complicating the situation. Despite my efforts to communicate and resolve these issues, the process remains a chaotic mess.
What exacerbates this situation is that Costco is the only location where I can afford Triggerâs medications. Cyclosporine, for example, costs $82.98 for a 30-day supply at Costco, whereas elsewhere, itâs upwards of $300. While I appreciate the affordability, itâs disheartening to be stuck in a cycle of constant frustration and battles with Costcoâs pharmacy team.
If it werenât for the affordability factor, I would have sought out alternative pharmacies long ago. However, given the limited options, I find myself reluctantly returning to Costco Pharmacy despite the ongoing challenges.
For anyone with a pet or dependent on regular prescription refills, I strongly advise seeking out alternative pharmacy options. The affordability may be tempting, but the ongoing struggle and lack of reliable service make it an unsustainable choice in the long run.
My experience with Costco Pharmacy for pet prescription refills has been overwhelmingly negative, marked by constant frustration and disappointment. I hope this review serves as a cautionary tale for others in similar situations, urging them to explore alternative pharmacy options for their peace of mind and...
