SM Hanson Music — Attraction in Salina

Once again im here to recommend SM hansom music. i have a collection of top tier guitars and basses they maintain setups with almost all my guitars and basses. whenever needed with a always awesome service. but i also have a cheap dean bass that literally meant the world to me and a dear friend. it went through our whole teenage to early adult life. We lost it as young adults, i found it in Texas 3 years later. its was smelly didn't make a sound. all electronics busted and neck looked awful. i turned it in to SM Hanson (Ryan) as a project over time to be completed. as the pictures show its amazing (its only hanging on my wall) but played like my 2,000$ basses!!! i was soooo impressed!!!! They took very care of understanding i wanted everything replaced from pick ups to tuners. but still managed to keep a Mean kinda look which its known for. I been with SM Hanson music almost 5 years and i wouldn't go to anyone else. They get backed up all the time, so make sure you get your projects in as early as possible. they also fixed a guitar for me 2 days before a show, so im so thank ful for SM Hanson music! Thank you Rick for your amazing store and keeping local musicians ready to go!

Shout out to Ryan the guitar tech! just amazing! talked withy me through out the whole process down to earth everything you could want. Shout out to Karen, simply because she is Karen! she keeps all the boys under control and store running! lol

Previous review- I'm back again to let the world know of a awesome guitar shop that takes care of me everytime. Recently my daughter twisted the Volume pot out of the soder points on her bass. Instead of just simply fixing the one pot, they added extra nuts to all the pots so that can never happen again to any of them. Didn't ask for it, they just know to do it! That's customer service! With a 5 day turn around so she never missed a lesson. And of course the price for the work done is always on point and in anyone's budget. Thanks to Rick and the boys!

I’ll give them a 5 star review. I was amazed by impressive store inventory and cool music instruments. I have not been there since 2011. I was heading back to Oklahoma City for a possible union truck driving job offer. I just finished a truck driving school in Salt Lake City. I had not seen or heard from any of my relatives since the 1980s. I never felt a welcoming relationship with any of the Larson families or Hanson families. And once again I was proven correct. Steve who is my dad’s brother said “you’re just like your dad! You come in to my store and expect at the drop of a hat that I talk to you! Very unfriendly thing to say to a family member. But I get it my dad is not a very friendly person either. My own mom Beth Hanson blocked my phone number. I tried to call her since I haven’t heard from her in seven years. I’m over it haven’t spoke to Ronald Hanson my dad since 1991. Justin my brother didn’t even call to tell me about his newborn, or Jeffery’s blood cancer. This family sucks!!!! Hopefully Steve’s son Rick, who has taken over since his dad retired seems like he might not be like the rest of pathetic and uncaring family. I was homeless for many years on and off the streets and no one even cared about helping me find a well paying job so I could pay for housing and food! Definitely don’t ask for any help from either family you’re on your own….they don’t care about family. Marshall Hanson was a Shriner. I read they do stuff for kids but he wasn’t even concerned about his grandson doing poorly in school because his parents were physically abusing him and his mom was an alcoholic. He didn’t even say to Ronald Hanson “why don’t you send him on a bus to Kansas and I will teach him how to become a licensed electrician” He’ll have a well paying trade for the rest of his life! He won’t be homeless or off to jail for theft. He will have a skill to pay for the things he will...

A special shout out to the Exceptional Employees at SM Hanson Music for going the extra mile to make my grandson’s 16th birthday a Big Surprise! 😊 I entered the music store to inquire about the total costs for the piano and accessories that Xavier (my grandson) was so interested in and had been working and saving money to purchase. 🎶👍🏼 It just happened to be my grandson’s birthday on the day I dropped in. 🎈Realizing he had saved enough money to purchase the items, I asked if the items were in stock and available to purchase. Yes, the items were in stock and available to purchase right away.
