My experience at Maya Cinema was not good. There was No one at the front window to purchase my tickets from. I walked in and asked an employee, Turns out you have to pay at the kiosko inside the cinema or wait in the snack line to buy your tickets if your paying cash. Restrooms where not cleaned had no paper towels available. Walked over to our cinema room and it's being cleaned. I wait outside until the employee let's us know it's ok to go in. I'm sitting on my seat and 2 min after my movie is suppsed to start another employee walks in and asks us to leave the room because it needs to be cleaned. We told her we had already waited outside for it to be cleaned and that the employee who cleaned it gave is the ok to come in. We inform her That the cinema room had already been cleaned by somone. She said she would go ask. She comes back and cleans again. It's now 10:30pm and our movie has still not started. No preview or nothing. I decide to walk up to the front of the theater to let somone know my movie has not started. The employee asks " how can I help you" I tell her I would like to speak to the manager. I'm waiting for my movie to start. She asked what room theater are you in I told her 6. She goes to the back to talk to the manager, she return and tells me he is ganna turn it on now. I said I would like to speak to him. She goes to the back again let's him know and leaves. I'm waiting and waiting..... an employee from the snack area notices I'm waiting comes to ask if I need help I said yes I'm waiting for your manager. He goes to the back and informs him and let's me know he will be right out. As the manager is walking towards me i can tell he is uninterested about what I have to say. I'm sure he did not want to deal with a customers complaint. I expressed my frustrating and experience since trying to purchase the tickets. He told me he was having issues with the projector. I honestly feel like that was an untruthful excuse. I expresses that customers should not be having to walk up to the front to let somone know to start the movie. All restrooms where closed except the one in the front. The only restrooms open in the back of the theater where the men's restroom. Family restroom and women's restroom closed so ppl have to walk all the way to the front of the theater. Restrooms where unkempt. Manager apologies with an attitude his body language was letting me know he did not care, turning his face to the side as I expressed my concern to him. He told me I already apologized and you waisting you're time here the movie has started. At this point I'm extremely upset đĄ at how he is managing the theater and managing the situation. I had to walk away because I'm pregnant and interactions like that are not good for a pregnant woman. I will not be returning to Maya Cinemas after...
Read morei really wanted to like this place, man, but there was some really annoying stuff about this experience. i'll start w good stuff bc hearing good news is nice.
Pros: friendly staff parking validation (i think up to 3 hours, in parking garage right by it. validate when you hand your tickets over to the dude taking them) free popcorn if you sign up for rewards (prob selling your data but this is a google review so im used to that at this point) clean ! large reclining seats
now, down to the nitty gritty...
Cons: the walls between the rows they put in (i assume they're new based on other reviews, this was my first time going) block the bottom parts of the screen. this was really annoying considering i pay to watch movies at a theater to see the full effect of the movie in all its glory, u know? if you want to use the nice reclining seats, the little wall will block even more of it, too. i guess they didn't measure to see if this would happen or something, lol. (i am 5'8 for reference) the noise of the projector (?) in the back. it was not a pleasant sound. during quiet parts, it really broke the atmosphere and annoyed the f*ck out of me. if you're sitting in the back, i pray for your ears and your sanity. i can't describe the noise properly, but it was kind of high-pitched and irritating :'( closed bathrooms before all the movies ended. i get it, the staff wants to go home right after all the movies have finished, but after 2.5+ hours of sitting in a theater with food and drinks, people are probably going to want to piss after, and it's not easy to find somewhere else to go after 12am. thankfully, i didn't have to go too bad, but i could see how in the future this could be a problem if i wanted to attend other late-night screenings here.
overall, this is a fine theater to go to if you're not as nit picky as i probably am, but given that it's hard to see the entire screen of the main event, combined with the seemingly unnecessary noise, i don't think i'll be returning. things like nice seats and wall barriers only help when they don't change the basics of a movie...

The theater implemented a numbered seating chart. System which you are able to choose what seats you want. Seats are comfortable and big with cup holder. Seats can recline. Low ambient lighting.
2 concession area available but usually only 1 is open. Big rooms and medium rooms with great surround sound. Although during the previews watch for your children as the sound level is a bit high possibly starting young children.
Clean, safe, some what expensive. Get there at least 30 min early if you plan to hit the concession stand, and 20 min early if your going straight to your showing.
I choose to come to this theater due to the caipability of being able to choose yor own seating. Maya a great place...
