Halltree Antique Mall — Local services in Salinas

Really nice selection of pretty much everything. Obviously a well run establishment with a respect for old items. My only complaint is that some of the items are drastically over priced. I'm an antique magazine collector, and was somewhat disappointed to see a few issues I was interested in marked up $40 above what the average copy sells for on Ebay. I know it's a way to make profits, but I'd much rather wait a week for an item to ship off the internet, than pay an extra 40 dollars. Other than that, I'd definitely return and purchase...

BUYER BEWARE. If you find an item at a good price, one of the employees will change the price tag and tell you it was not marked correctly. This happened to me, with an item I requested to see that was in a locked case. I found a small pin clearly marked $15.00. The shop employee took it up to the register with her. When I went to pay for it, the employee had changed the price tag to $75.00. Unethical business practices. Don't waste...

Friendly staff and amazing selection. You could walk through this store 5 times and still find something new each time.

Has a little bit of everything: from automotive, cowboy, records, wood carvings, glasswork galore, war/military, jewelry, and much, much more. Truly worth a stop, although it'll probably dark out once you make your way...
