Decided to visit Alamo Candy Company for the second time ever but actually went inside this time! How could I visit and not go inside the first time you ask? Well, my best friend is an accomplished influencer and loves to find great photo opps. Alamo Candy Company happens to have an extremely large Selena Quintanilla mural on the right side of the building (if your facing it). So my first visit was literally just for the mural shoot. This time I had my mom and cousin with me and I was very excited to experience the inside this time. I am a self proclaimed amateur candy connoisseur and I knew we would be at the store at least an hour for me to walk the aisles leisurely to take it all in. I mean, really, this was a WWWWD moment (What Would Willy Wonka Do?!) I’m telling you, I was literally the cliché  I was a grown up kid in a candy store! Eyes gleaming and mouth watering. Alamo Candy Company did not disappoint! Everything from Mexico to America: sweet, spicy, tangy, hard, and gummy you can ask for! They sell mostly in bulk but there are plenty of individual options as well. Happy hunting on your sweet...

I’ve been a customer for about 5 years, they have a large variety of candies but they are way over priced, as a reseller You won’t make much profit, also if they have anything on sale make sure you check to see why it’s on sale, I bought 2 cases of the 12 Flavor Albanese Gummy Bears because they were on sale, when I asked them why they’re on sale they told me “because we are overstock” when I got home they were all slimy, sticky and had a bad taste, I spoke with the manager to see if I can return them and he said “No, that’s why they’’re on sale because they are slimy and sticky”, I told him if I would have known that, I wouldn’t have bought them in the first place, and he said “sorry we can’t except reruns on that product”. So what gets me is that they knew they where bad and still sold them to their customers, So to me they really don’t care about their customer as much as they care about making that extra buck. I lost $61.00 because I had to throw...

I hate to admit that I love Alamo candy company because ... Well it's candy! They have all of my favorites like pecan caramel chews and cherry bombs but they also have buckets of strawberry and mango shaved ice that'll save you a ton of money versus taking the kids out for some! We go there up buy everything for our mini fiesta at the house for all the nephews and nieces including piñatas, loteria, water guns, little prizes for the games, and even the decorations themselves. Absolutely our favorite store is this kind. Think of it like a superior San Antonio version of party city! You don't find every plate color combination but you'll find everything for your popcorn maker, nachos, huge boxes of chips, individual packs of chips and cookies ... Basically everything every school fall fest would have all around town. But you can save money and have it yourself!!! You may never got out for a...

My favorite product from Alamo Candy is the Pickle Balls. I will consume them, knowing that my stomach will react negatively towards them. I do admit that it is my fault to continue to eat them after knowing the effects. All that being said, I’m sure that at some point in a couple of years the candies here will link back to some sort of stomach cancer. The stool stays green for several days after consumption. I know others who say the same thing, this isn’t normal or natural. I don’t care how safe they say the colors are, it shouldn’t be dying your entire intestinal tract. And if you flag or get this deleted in anyway, I have no issues going to the local news as I have close ties with KSAT and Kens 5. Again, the product is great, but there’s no way it’s safe for you’re intestines

I'm from DFW, where Alamo Candy Company products have a very small representation in Circle K gas stations. About 15 products to choose from. But, walking into this joint was like my personal Mecca of sour and salt. I blacked out, and when I regained consciousness, I'd spent $110 on various pickles and candies. My wife and child said my eyes turned black like a shark on the hunt, and I now have over a dozen things I've never even heard of, plus tons of my all-time favorites. I intend to enjoy in moderation, but I have enough chamoy to last me a lifetime (as in, I'd live for a week if I tried to drink the whole thing, thus causing my heart to explode). I'm conflicted. I lost control. But the sweet, sweet mana becons. Divine spice calls to me. I must answer.

I've been coming to Alamo Candy since they were on Blanco and today I took my 1st visit at the Hildebrand store. The parking is small unless you park on the side of the building and walk a few steps. The new place is a lot brighter, more organized and cleaner. The employees are still the same ol grumpy employees. Grumpy employees are just a reflection of the employer! Besides that, this place has all the authentic San Antonio Candy you can think of as well as national known candies. I came to buy a bag of Chinese Candy for my beer and some spicy roasted peanuts. The company makes good product, it sells good. Perfect for business owners who sell snacks. Check them out for yourself! Just don't say I didn't warn you about the grumpy employees.
