Alderete Park — Attraction in San Antonio

I grew up in this area. The restrooms are kept clean and stocked with toilet paper. It has a good size soccer field and a walking track under half a mile long but plenty enough for a good jog or simply enough to clear your mind if you want to disconnect from the day away from everyone you can come out and just chill. Bring a blanket and lay out in the field and watch the clouds go by. Basketball courts are decent but need chain nets. If your into bike riding trails you can park your vehicle and walk across the soccer field towards the ditch and you will find a trail that you can bike ride. ...

Very grateful to be able to utilize a nice field there at Alderete Park, just wish the City of San Antonio would take more pride in our parks in the poverty stricken areas of town like our rising west side and south side area parks.. Please put up better nets for the goals, add more trees for shading, maybe even bleechers for public events/games. Please maintain the landscaping with regular lawn services-pest control. Our youth deserve a clean ant/mosquito free environment while they enjoy...

Nice cozy spot for adults to relax and unwind...the kids would enjoy it too with the playground and turf, has soccer practicing accessible as well as a walking trail and a baseball field for the sluggers, BBQin is also available for the Sunday cookouts with plenty of tables also has restrooms, a no brainer on this side of town for all you park loving...
