I asked a “professor” for help on a project one time an he referred me to YouTube to resolve my issues instead of giving me the one on one help. Worst school Iv ever attended. The “professors” are overwhelmed with the amount of student to one class, they don’t grade on time, they assume if you have a problem that it’s a common problem the entire class is having and will make you feel stupid instead of analyzing the situation, an finding a solution. As far as the staff, “ (student advisers) it all about taking your money I was sick in the hospital for a month I asked my advisor to drop my classes because I would t be able to attend class do to being hospitalized, and instead of complying to my request, she went on her on behind my back to keep me in the class long enough for the school to charge me in full for two classes I was unable to attend, not only taking my money while I’m in a hospital bed but keeping me in the class lowered my grade point average. Do not slow your kids to come here or if your an adult looking to further your education as I was please read this and re consider your options to a local...
Read moreDo not take certification testing here! Their testing facility is a small room off the lobby. One of the walls is the outside window on the ground floor. I was taking a 3 hour open book certification exam and the entire time I had to listen to people talking loudly in the lobby, car alarms going off and some sort of banging on the wall in front of me. At one point a guy unloading beer kegs was outside the window. After I was finished, I went to the front desk to retrieve my personal belongings. I stood there for a fewinutes looking at the individual behind the desk. He finally acknowledge me after a bit of time. Made it seem like I was inconvenience for asking for my things. I made a comment about all the noise while taking my exam and they rudely said, "Yeah, everyone else said the same thing about you." My GIAC exam consists of 5 books, an index, and two posters. Of course I'm going to make some noise! This is not uncommon thing. I told them that was unprofessional and if they have a problem with someone flipping through pages, they shouldn't host GIAC exams....
Read moreThis is an expensive school for the non-recognized degree in the real world. If you are after a fast track and not so challenging curriculum, here you go. Guaranteed your finances, tuition, scholarship funding will go hay-wire and you’ll end up owing them money after some attempted derailing of their own faults. The professors are great, they just work for the wrong school since DeVry is a for-profit business. If you are a veteran with VA or GI Bill support other very prestigious state schools or universities will accept you, I promise, just try. With a 3.95 GPA and a 720 GMAT has no weight to get a Masters at a good school.
Again I’ll stress that the professors are great and care about what you learn. The school has zero reputation, almost negative, even though they are accredited. Also has turned over several parent companies the past three years, and even more since they got punished by the VA for false...
