I regret to express my utmost dissatisfaction with the services provided by this purported business, which appears to function more like a call center for numerous locksmith subcontractors. The lack of accountability in this setup is highly concerning, as there is no one to hold responsible for services gone awry. Based on my recent experience, I strongly advise against considering their services. Upon initially contacting this company, I was quoted an initial visit fee of $29 and informed that the job itself would start at $25. However, I was also told that the technician would provide a quote before commencing any services. Subsequently, I received a call from the technician assigned to the task, namely Cristin B., with whom I discussed the job details. The task involved unlocking a house door equipped with a digital keypad code and a Yale key. We agreed on the approach and scheduled an appointment. The property manager was present at the location, waiting for the technician, who called to report a delay and arrived even later than the revised time provided. To my dismay, the technician proved incapable of picking the lock and expressed uncertainty about drilling through it. In a sudden change of plan, she proposed drilling through the sliding glass door instead. Regrettably, she proceeded with this course of action, gaining entry to the property but consequently voiding the warranty on the sliding door. Her solution to this self-inflicted damage was to suggest patching the hole with putty. After completing less than 15 minutes of work and spending a total of around 30 minutes on the job, the technician left, leaving me with an invoice amounting to $165. Upon receiving the bill, I promptly inquired about the exorbitant charges and the reasons behind the technician's deviation from our initial agreement. Disappointingly, she deflected responsibility and shifted blame onto the property manager, alleging that he insisted on preserving the lock. Moreover, she claimed to be unaware of my requirement for a price quote prior to commencing the service—a policy outlined on their website. Additionally, she asserted that she had given me a discount from their usual rate. Disturbingly, the property manager's account of the events at the job site did not align with the technician's version. Such conflicting narratives only further exemplify the lack of professionalism exhibited by this company. Based on this unfortunate experience, I can confidently declare that I will never engage the services of this company again. Read moreI called Immediate Response Locksmith at 6:30 this morning after I realized my keys were in my car. I was told it would be $25 for the trip and $25/hour and key. I asked for more clarification on other charges and nothing was given, so I turned down an $86 locksmith through Progressive.
The tech showed up after 7:30 (despite claims on the website that they arrive in 30 minutes) in an unmarked van wearing regular clothes, also contrary to the website's stated policy (both of these things are notorious for locksmith fraud) After paperwork, the locksmith had my car open on the first try in literally thirty seconds. I was charged $139 ($74 for "unlock car", $20 for the trip charge, and $45 for "tools"). They claim to be a "professional service" but there is no way to escalate complaints beyond the "dispatcher" because there is apparently no manager or possibly any other person in the company than "Colby" or "Peter" who I cannot say anything about because the dispatcher also doesn't know any of the names of any technicians they are in contact with. The dispatcher didn't even ask me for my information to pass on to the manager, even though he said he would escalate my issue. When my boyfriend called and asked the dispatcher to repeat his name to make sure they had our correct information, he was hung up on and his number was blocked. They have now blocked my phone number as well.
I read the reviews for this company before I called and feel as though many of them are paid or fraudulent, or that the person who attended my situation this morning was not a part of this company at all. I've reported them to the BBB as well as informed anyone on my social media platforms that this is an incredibly deceitful, dishonest, and irresponsible company to do business with. I am less concerned about paying $50-100 more than I expected than I am with the complete refusal to explain, escalate, or resolve the situation. Quote a quick response time yet don’t show up for atleast double the time frame. Technician was extremely rude, unprofessional and pushy. They do not care to verify residency before opening up a home or ever contact homeowner prior to service; or after servicing for that matter. Refused to accepted credit card as the desired payment and demanded cash payment (after confirming they did indeed take card payments). Will damage door/property and have no recommendation, acknowledgement or accountability. Charge over 3 times the price for a non dead bolt door lock. Owner/Manager Tyler will gaslight you and not respond to any concerns or acknowledge any fault on his team or self. Continually gaslight any concerns and extend timeframes of response yet if you don’t respond to their correspondence in a quick manner they are quick to SnapBack.
When reaching out my concerns with my experience to Tyler he told me wait 24 hours; then that turned into 24-48 hours, which then turned into 72 hours; which then was then turned into wait til over the weekend get back to you Monday; which then when heard nothing back any of those previous timeframes by Tuesday was told “wait a few more days”. No explanation on what exactly I’m waiting for or what plan there is in place just gaslighting the situation by telling me to wait, wait, wait.
There is no breakdown of the charges or why the price is so high and no explanation on how they determined their pricing.
There is no remorse or care taken in the service they provide when they damage the door, door lock or the weatherstripping around the door.
They have no respect for clients time as they tell you one thing and show up with no apology or explanation of why it took twice the timeframe.
They have no bed side manner in how they perform their locksmith task. Technician is extremely rude, pushy; demanding and is only interested in the money he gets in hand.
