Gilbert Garza Park — Attraction in San Antonio

This is a beautiful public park! There is a public swimming pool with lifeguards, an exercise area with pictographs on different skills and levels, many picnic tables with BBQ grills- each table has its own trash receptacle, Large open space Trees to sit under, bring your blanket and picnic lunch! My daughter and I have mainly gone when it's getting dark, so my experience is based from those hours of the day.. it's confusing at first when seeing that there are no lights on in the park, because of how dark it gets, but don't worry, the lights do work, they're just motion activated lights to be eco friendly. Hey its free to swim!! U just gotta sign in I like that it wasn't crazy full but there was other ppl. At the top of the hour life guards take a 15 min break. I think that's good for the swimmer to get out and might as well use the rr and drink water reapply sunscree. I did notice that the life guards only hung out with each other at one station instead of 1 at each station I don't know if they get paid but they can do better on being more professional.
