Mission Marquee Plaza — Attraction in San Antonio

while i am grateful something like this exists and the area has been cleaned up and renovated, because it’s free and open to the public, the public ruined my experience so i didn’t get to enjoy the movie. i visited with my 2 well behaved, people/dog friendly dogs to enjoy a nice night out however to ensure my dogs safety, my safety and the safety/comfort of others, i put my blanket we were sitting on far away from others so that nobody felt uncomfortable or bothered by us. certain people lack social cues and a elderly gentleman, despite plenty of open areas with a clear view of the screen being available put his blanket within arms reach of mine and sat right next to us and proceeded to answer a phone call and spoke LOUDLY as soon as the movie started. the main issue i encountered however were 2 stray puppies running around with unsupervised children, even whilst the movie was playing. these unsupervised children not only continued to run in front of me AND through other families trying to watch the movie, but they kept coaxing these stray puppies to come up to me and my dogs so that the dogs could “be friends”. after the 4th time these children brought these stray puppies up to me and my dogs and me politely telling them “my dogs are trying to watch the movie and not make friends right now, can you please take them away” i packed up my belongings and my dogs and decided to just go home. during this entire time, 3 security officers for the plaza were standing a few feet away from me gossiping amongst each other next to the entrance to the restroom.

it’s truly a shame i didn’t have a good experience at the plaza and i hope others have a better...

This theater is outdoors. It was so wonderful. I really thought the sun would beam on us but well it didnt. To my surprise even the bathrooms were the cleanest I have seen in a long time. At first they were showing a man talking about how he wanted to end life. Omg i didnt sign up for this but then they kept on saying how he can get help. That part was really cool. Then the movie started it was the Justice League. That movie was good and action packed aswell. I do see myself going back to see anothet movie there soon. I did however noticed there is a YMCA right in the back maybe ill visit there aswell. Im very happy with this place and parking aswell. I really thought it would be packed but nope the people we were right next to were kind and friendly aswell. Thank you missions for doing this for the community. Family time is really important to us. Did i mention they gave free popcorn yes there were vendors but the popcorn was...

Went to the farmers market fair thingy.....OMG some lady was selling lemonade type drinks for $10 for one cup....she justified by saying it was a 32 oz.....good grief how does she sleep at night...i mean half the cup would need to be just ice in this heat.....(thief).... no thanks....nice park in the same lot as the YMCA....other people at the different stalls were super friendly....but the veggies were so expensive like 4 bucks for a basket of 4 to 5 lemons...a couple of zucchinis for a few bucks....cheaper to go to HEB for 55 to 75 cents each usually....disappointed in this, my first visit, cuz I would like to support local farmers but not at those prices....i got two baskets of okra for $4 each but when i cooked them half were so tough to chew after an hour of cooking so they were too long on the vine...wasted half my money....so sad...i hate to complain but ppl should know what to expect.....this is not the rich...
