I contracted Hepatitis A from this place. I attended mass at Mission San Jose on July 7, 2013 at 07:30 mass. After mass I noticed there was a Mexican Restaurant in the bulletin at the bottom right hand corner, Taqueria Guadalajara at 2702 Roosevelt Ave. Since it was in the bulletin, I went there and purchased a country sausage and egg taco and a bean and egg taco. I noticed the flour tortillas were really greasy and the sausage in the taco looked a little bloody, but I was very hungry and ate them both.
Later that evening I had intense pain in the right side of my abdomen. This pain lasted for 6 days before I went to the doctor. They took a blood on Friday, July 12 and more blood on July 16th…about 10 vials of blood. My doctor told me today—July 19th--that I contracted Hepatitis A either from eating the fatty, undercooked food or that a worker there at the restaurant may have hepatitis A and didn’t correctly wash his or her hands when preparing the food. I’ve been doing some research on Hepatitis A and the information doesn’t look good.
A little about me: I’m a health nut and practically a vegetarian except when I start to crave food I used to eat. My new year’s resolution was to eat healthier and I have maintained a healthy diet since the start of the year with very little chicken and mostly fish. I cook everything myself. I’m very active in regards to fitness. I don’t drink soda, juice or excessive sugary drinks. I don’t eat junk food or fast food and when I go to a restaurant I usually have the fish. I’m very tall and slender and don’t have allergies to anything. When I do have breakfast tacos, it’s from taco cabana and it is plain egg or bacon and egg.
I’m letting you know all of this because I’ve been carefully evaluating everything I ate that day and the only thing to cause for alarm would be those two breakfast tacos I ate and the fact the sausage looked a bit bloody.

Read moreIf I could rate this place LOWER then 1star I would. My family and I have been coming here for YEARS. After this past experience I would NEVER EVER go back. For every item you order they tax you .29-.50 Cents MORE and at the end when you go to pay the bill All that tax adds up and ends up being about $5-$9 MORE on top of what your food was. Then when I got my receipt and noticed all the additional charges they stated that the computer Inputs the amount that way 🤔 And on top of that I noticed that she charged us for more items we didn’t even order and said we ALL had “to go cups” when in actuality we didn’t. So after she stated that the computer inputs it that way because they don’t have and I quote “a tea BUTTON” but it clearly says tea on my receipt. So after I pointed that out they tired to change the story as to why we got charged so much AGAIN! And at the end of it they eventually said “ohh yes.. we did over charge u for more drinks.. but it was only $.75” and tried to just give me the little change. My response to them was that they clearly Needed it more then I did to be conning people out of there money. I advise that anyone who does to to this place to PLEASE PLEASE CHECK YOUR RECEIPT.
P.S There was other ppl behind me stating they got...
Read moreCame here and knowing I have an soy allergy. I kindly asked the waitress questions about what type of oil they use. She didnt know but was super nice to go ask the cooks in tje back. However the cooks simply told her " we dont know if it has soy..it's vegetable oil we dont check it." Well of course they could've checked but didn't want to? So, me and my husband offered to read the bottle of oil. And they said they couldn't bring it out. Okay. No biggie so im here tasting the food. And its preety good beans not salty just right. The corn torillas are NOT home made but are store bought. So im just going to pray there's no soy in my corn tortillas. UPDATE: Went again today 3/3/17. They went out of their way to prep me a sepcial order. They don't have an picadillo plate. But made one for me anyway. And today the corn tortilla were home made. Over all good service, good food. This is my new fav restraunt. Yesterday I tip my waitress $20 becuase she went out of her way for me. Today I tipped my waitress $10. These people treat their customers very well. And I will continue to tip well! Great...
