I’m here now it’s 12:44 on Tuesday and they have a table tennis match or class going on . Idk why library would allow the classroom to be be adjacent to the study areas. I hear kids running around and a bunch of noise throughout the library . I guess you gotta look at their social calendar when you come over here you never know what class is being taught during the week . Guess the staff can’t control it cuz it’s been going on since they opened !!! It’s also the parents lack of respect for rules here . I asked on the way out when is a good time to come study here the librarian said come in the evening since they have a lot of events going on daily in their activity center so it’s very loud . Update: I was informed by the administrator that the library has to meet the changing demands of the community. So they are transforming from quiet places to active community centers . This library is very active and does not reflect...

I've lived in San Antonio for all of my adult life, and only recently have I begun to explore the libraries around town. The Mission Branch Library is one of my favorites thus far. The design mimics the exterior of the neighboring missions (which were recently designated a UN World Heritage site). The interior is clean and warm with plenty of seating areas intermingled between bookshelves. The library also serves as a space for community activities like ping-pong and D&D. A row of back-to-back computers is frequently utilized by locals for job-searching, research, and general web-browsing. Large windows allow for plenty of natural light into the building and, in some spots, there is an excellent view of the top of the mission above the trees along a neighboring creek. Very scenic. ...

I went in at 9AM on a school day with my two children who are in kinder and first grade. I tried to setup their laptops in an empty area in the back for their homeschool zoom classes with their laptops chargers and headphones all connected. Two ladies approached me and stated that teenagers do not like little kids in their area so we must move to another area. I disconnected everything and setup them up at a table with some other adults and hooked it all back up for them. The first area was completely empty and very little concern was shown for my two little ones. I would think a library would have their priorities a bit more towards small children who are present as opposed to teenagers...

Mission Library is located on the South- East side of town and part of S.A. History and Missions. This was my first time visiting this location since it was built. This location is VERY clean and crisp and convenient. It's not over crowded and they have many amenities like the Main Branch just closer and easier to get to oppose to going downtown. The Staff is EXTREMELY helpful and courteous. I didn't get Attitude from any of the staff and they took their time to explain the process. Everything is available to you and FREE to use. There is a lot of open space and stations to work at. I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for a library that isn't has busy as the main library.

My favorite library!!! It's always nice and quiet. Every time I go I can get what I need done. There is so many books, it's a really big library. I always feel so relaxed when go!!! Today we took my 3 month old nephew and he was going crazy!!! He loves the baby section and we got a lot of books to read to him!!!
