ASBESTOS!!!!
So I lived here right when they opened up. I was one of the first people to move in this complex, so was here for about three years. Mainly because it was a good price not because it was a good complex. Things were really wonderful in the beginning when there was a manager working here I forgot his name (remembered his name it’s Scott, best apartment manager I ever had) but he was the tall guy with glasses & bald. When he was managing I kid you not everything was great. He would even leave us candy bags for any holidays. It was amazing. Jake never did that. I have no idea why they got rid of him, he was amazing. They ended up firing him & bringing the new manager Jake in & that’s when everything went down hill. I definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND getting any apartments on the first hall right by the office. The walls are super thin & you can always hear music from the neighbors so of course Jake was able to listen to any dispute I’d have with my partner which led to dumb pathetic notices. So if you have a partner I would not suggest living near the office whatsoever. Not to mention that the maintenance guys want to come into everyone’s apartment almost every month to do some kind of inspection. They literally knock on your door every morning at the crack of dawn to come do some “maintenance” inside all while you’re trying to sleep in because you had a long day at work the night prior. They did this so much that I simply started to ignore them because wow what kind of complex does that? So weird. The parking situation really sucks for guests. This bar across the street named Tandem is always packed & they love to use the whole area of parking. They never did anything about the parking situation for the guests. They raised the rent because they wanted to do some adjustments but they literally just put up a jail like fence for dogs and called it a park. So pathetic. There’s an abandoned building in the back that is so disgusting they never did anything with that. Also these apartments have leakage problems as well every time it rains there would be leaks. I was afraid of my studio equipment getting leaked on every time. This complex is very by the book not lenient with anything whatsoever. Many times I wanted to get in contact with Mr. Lifshutz & Andi about this especially about the management. Management seems to harass everyone here with many notices even small issues it’s crazy. The only reason I lasted here for so long was because I hate moving who actually likes that & also because of the price mainly. I paid about 1300 a month here & there’s no amenities of any kind really. They really just put a fence up around the dog park and that’s the upgrades that were made. Not to mention how the maintenance guys are always working on something so you’re forever gonna hear them outside fixing something that was super annoying. Idk even the prices weren’t that great but yea. Paid about 1300 for a studio. This complex only has very few apartments with actual doors for you room. Almost every unit here is open like a studio. You have no privacy whatsoever if you come to live here with your partner. These units are mainly for solo people. Also I had so many issues with the mail packages here. Especially Fed Ex. The door to this complex has some crazy high security thing for idk what reason. You can’t even manage to leave the door open for that long without the alarm going off. An alarm that would go off even at night waking everyone up. So many issues here. Idk especially for that crazy price? Just ridiculous. You might as well spend an extra $300 to live in actual downtown with a nice apartment manager who doesn’t get on everybody about small issues.
Do not listen to that girl Joslyn 3000 on here. Jake is not a good manager. She probably lived not near his office at all & is probably single. She seems like a single girl lol. Like tryna talk about Alan. Alan is right. Take it from someone who was living here for years. You’re better off spending that extra money to move closer to downtown. Also this complex...
Read moreThey allow non-residents to park in the secured resident parking lot, taking up all the spaces. This caused me to have to park on the end of a row, in a spot that looked legit, but was apparently not a real parking spot. As long as those non-residents clear out that evening, they get away with it, but I got screwed simply because I didn't move my vehicle later that evening. Advocating more for strangers than for residents is evil I woke up this morning and my vehicle was gone, yet again. Your vehicle is actually safer in the guest parking then it is in the locked resident parking, because they will find any excuse to have it towed. This morning when I woke up and discovered my vehicle missing, I called police dispatch to verify if it had been towed, as I was suspicious it had, and she told me my truck was not in the system, so I reported it stolen. When the police arrived they were able to verify that my vehicle was in fact in the system, but they warned me to be careful, because it's well known that this particular towing company is run by criminals. How can it be possible that I pay $1400 per month to live in a closet, and now, I have to pay to recover my legally stolen vehicle. How can it be possible that they never let you know they're taking your property, even though the vehicle is registered at the apartment, and they have access to my phone number? I am so disappointed to realize that I do not live in the free America I was led to believe in, especially after 8 years of service in the Army. It occurs to me that some people don't like women and veterans, and especially female veterans. I'm only a school teacher, so I can't afford to pay towing fees for no good reason. The towing company also damaged my truck, and I'm sure there's no recourse for...
Read moreCons: There has been a few inappropriate, rude and harassing residents that have come and gone. Front office does an ok job at reporting and handling issues, but I had to take matters to law enforcement several times.
Eye sore behind field-house, I’ve been living here for more than a 2 years and noticed a HUGE pile of scraps (see pictures) just tucked behind the field-house so people won’t see it. I admit, we I did a tour I didn’t even notice the pile. We love to see the space fully utilized.
Same art in gallery probably since opening,2020, would love to see local artists from SA & SS be promoted in what could be an art collective hub.
Living next to a truck dispatch, be prepared to hear trucks honking, backing up and sometimes people talking at all kinds of hours trying to gain access into their facilities
Pay extra for washer dryer rental hook ups in your unit
Pros: Nice accessible, secure studio apartments. Front office is professional and maintenance is outstanding, both handle requests and residential needs asap.
Cable, water and electricity included in rent. Water and electricity usage is very low and inexpensive
Wonderful art gallery and outdoor space. Pet friendly, though there is not “dog park” it’s just a field, would be great if they built a fenced dog park.
Trash valet service Sun-Thur make sure to have trash out no later than @5pm
Residents usually keep to themselves, but most people I've encountered have been friendly. There’s only a few artists in the building, (painters, musicians, digital media, music and light production) generally young living 22-35 yrs, with few elderly. Quite overall living space, next to lumber yard and truck dispatch 🛻
Art events usually every few months which...
