I first received help in 2023 with a light bill. But while I’m there I was taken aback by a young Caucasian lady’s reason for visiting. Long story short.. was getting evicted and the church was willing to pay half. That’s it. The apts needed the entire amount. As she left crying the older Hispanic man that’s in the portable stops her. Makes a call and was able to pay for well over a $1000. 2024 I get evicted and remember they helped the lady the year before. The older black lady shut me down immediately stating that never happened basically calling me a liar without saying that exact word. All I needed was $800 and was denied. The looks from them as I left crying still stuck with me til today. That was 6 mons ago. I wouldn’t have came up there if I hadn’t of witnessed them blessing that young lady. Read moreDespite their Public Assistance Center in severe need to have an updated process structure, better exterior signs, and declined help for my utility bill, the Volunteers who manage this place have the most amazing hearts and treated me with incredible respect throughout my visit.
I recommend anyone who lives in their "service area" and is struggling to check out this place.
They offer everyone: unexpired dry foods, toilet paper rolls and a gift card.
