6/22/25 How great that free concerts are sometimes hosted here. It is easy to get here by trolley. Lovely weather to sit outside. The seating is numbered cement or grass so maybe bring something to cushion the hard surface. A margarita was @$20 and chips were @$4. The bathrooms were clean. Parking for 3 hours was @$6+, but parking is limited. Could work better: the food service people were talking loudly with no concern for the concert. I was lucky that I could move seats.

Excellent outdoor venue. Bring cushions for your bootie but warning - you'll be up dancing half of the time if you get a chance to see any of the Latino acts scheduled. And all of them are so GOOD. Thanks to UCSD. Lots of paid parking available but show up early. I think the only issue was getting separate emails for the tickets and the parking instructions. I would have liked everything in one email to locate my digital ticket.

Stunning location! Parking was challenging for the event we attended (SD City Ballet's "Ballet Under the Stars"), but otherwise it was a great experience. Next time I would bring a jacket and/or blanket (it got chilly even though it was early August). The event had snacks and drinks for purchase, but I might bring my own next time. The view was great, even sitting near the back.

What a fantastic outdoor venue on the UCSD campus. Bought parking with the tickets, so that was hassle-free. We had lawn seats, but the seating is mixed and they rent cushions at the site (with backs and without). The margarita at the bar was really good! And one of the snack bars has yummy cookies. Lawn seat ticket holders should consider bug repellent, we had those re-usable wrist/ankle bracelets and used them. Lawn seats cannot bring chairs of any height, but there are a few tables and chairs at the top of the grassy hill if you prefer. We saw a talk by George Takei and John Cho, which was epic. The venue made it better! (Despite the loud planes-they had to pause several times.) We will definitely check what's here regularly. Also, a huge bonus and super cool, UCSD students...

Sound is much better from the seats compared to the GA grass section. Seemed a little flat and disconnected from the GA speakers. The GA grass got crowded quickly and was a little harsh on our backs. Bathrooms are clean and easy to get in and out of. They had 2 beers available (A Karl Mosiac IPA and a Japanese Lager), some wine as well. There was some snacks available inside the venue but not the greatest selection. There were like four food vendors outside the venue which you could easily get to before the show. The shuttle that takes you from the event parking was really convenient and easy to use! You can also take the MTS trolley which drops you off about 100 feet from the venue entrance. Overall a positive experience but just hope the sound is better next time in...
