Manolo Farmers Market — Attraction in San Diego

Update:2/12/24 I have tried the birria from here and it's amazing! It's fairly priced too. The lady gave me all the sides to complement the birria and now I can't get enough of this dish. Good thing I live close by. I have tried their chorizo refried beans too and they are pretty good too. I have noticed their station looks clean as well. Very happy with my last visit.

This review is for the hot food area. I bought a burrito from here. The flour tortilla was kinda cold. Almost felt raw. The meat in it was not carne asada or anything like it. Looked like beef stew meat boiled in water. Flavorless and rancid. The beans tasted old and looked crusty. Chunks of lettuce. This burrito or thing declared war on burritos. I don't understand why if your food is old and not edible anymore then why still use it rather than making more or just telling the customers there is no more. The food went straight into the trash. I cannot tell you how many times I got food there, started to eat it, found it tasted or looked funny, inspected the label, only to find out it expired before I even bought it, which means it expired while still on the shelf of the store, and they never removed the rotten food items, such as the salads and prepped meals.

In short, they sell rotten food.

Staff needs to purge rotten food from the shelves at the end of every night. Yes, your staff might have to work past close, just like any other...
