Memorial Community Park — Attraction in San Diego

I was raised all over Barrio Logan and I have seen Memorial Park evolve since I was a little girl to adult hood and I have always had fun here and now I bring my children. They always have things happening here from when I was a kid, from singers/ bands to fairs/ carnivals, programs going out there to have events for children and bbqs for the community. The playground is updated. The rec center has an immense amounts of sports programs from swimming to soccer, baseball, football, and others that I don't even know about but they are there. There's a skatepark and a area for dogs. Sometimes when there are sports going on they open this little food consessiom stand it's green and they sell lots of good snacks and affordable. They take card too. The bathrooms are right next to that and close to the playground and baseball field. It's close to lots of things the new constructed logan memorial school I think it's combined from tk-12th grade soon or already. There's Sawaya across the street if you want delicious tortillas or some tacos. They got bomb food on the warm deli area. So if you haven't gone to Memorial Park and want to check out or join some sport for you or your kid, just go check it out who knows you might just show up when there's soemthing...

Nice place to take your kids and your family. There is a rec center nearby. The bathrooms were san diego Park bathrooms, so there's that, but they were open. Most parks there always locked. Additionally, there is plenty of room for any family parties at a playground...

I really enjoyed this year at the Juneteenth in Memorial Park! Lots of beautiful ppl, lots of vendors spreading the love on our culture. Blessings to the Cooper's family for continuing something their father started in...
