Seemed a little dangerous coming down the side of the rock to get to the tide pools but wasn't as bad as I thought. Glad I wore some decent water shoes instead of slides. Once down there I was told by a worker not to handle the sea life or pick up the rocks so I was a little put off. We respected her wishes though and didn't argue and after that she asked if it was OK if she taught us a little about the sea life there. Totally made the experience a great one gaining knowledge and touching something I thought was dangerous. Read moreDifferent than other sea shores in San Diego. It's rocky and full of vegetation and sea creatures. I felt very lively at this place. As you can see in my pictures, I got to experience sea anemone and shells. There were crabs, lobsters and other shell bearing creatures too. The rocks are slippery due to alagal growth so wear shoes and walk carefully. There is a low tide time when you can walk on these rocks. Parking could be an issue since it has limited space. The stairs on the trail around here are easy but tricky , just take your time and let people go around if they are going to fast .
