San Gabriel Nursery boasts an impressive array of plants and trees, offering green thumbs and garden enthusiasts a diverse selection to choose from. The variety on display is undoubtedly a strong point, allowing customers to find both common and rare specimens for their landscaping needs.
However, the nursery's pricing structure leaves much to be desired. Many items, particularly in the Bonsai section, come with eye-watering price tags that seem disproportionate to their value. This high-end pricing strategy may alienate budget-conscious gardeners or those looking for reasonable deals on quality plants.
The most disappointing aspect of San Gabriel Nursery's customer experience is their lackluster reward system. The so-called "deals" offered to loyal customers are frankly underwhelming. Case in point: after spending over $1000, I received a mere six "nursery bucks" to use on my NEXT visit. This paltry sum, amounting to less than 1% of the total spend, feels more like an insult than an incentive.

Read moreOur go-to nursery for plants and flowers for our garden. With spring’s here, people are out shopping for plants and flowers. They are busy here.
This nursery has been here for ages. From my parents generation, they had been buying plants from San Gabriel nursery. The nursery has everything you need for the garden. From perennial flowers to seasonal plants as well as fruit trees, they have them all.
We got some seasonal flowers to add some live to our garden. The prices for flowers are very reasonable as compared to other chain home improvement stores.
The gardeners here were very helpful. Every time we had a question, they were there to provide answers and helped us to select the right flowers and plants.
Even if you’re not buying flowers and plants, coming here to walk around is healthy for you as the the nursery is huge and has plenty of plants to provide ample fresh air.

Read moreMy husband and I purchased two bonsai and returned to purchase a third bonsai. We found a bonsai amongst the bonsai priced around $200. We took it up to the register and were told the bonsai's price is $200. We told the salesperson we would purchase the bonsai and asked her to hold the bonsai for us while we selected additional items to purchase. When we were ready to pay for the bonsai along with 7 additional items (totaling $100), the price of the bonsai tree went up by an additional $100. Extremely dishonest!
15 days later, I called and spoke with Fred. I asked if I could return the items I purchased 15 days ago. Fred told me I could return or exchange the items. I drove 148 miles round trip to return or exchange the items. Upon my arrival, I was told there is no return or exchange....
