Another tea house within a few blocks of A Plus, Neighbors, and Tbay? Yep, and T4U has found a way to stand out from the other tea places with their Chamango drink. I didn't try it, but it seems to be a pretty stand out drink that isn't served at most other tea houses.
T4U is located in a small plaza on San Gabriel. There's a private parking lot for the plaza, but there's also street parking as well. It's a really tiny tea house, with only two or three tables and a couch area. I think there was another table outside with chairs around it, but when I came with my friend, every seat was taken and we had to resort to going elsewhere to drink our drinks.
There were a few drinks I wanted to try from T4U's top ten drinks, but I convinced myself to just get one. I tried the Sea Salt Cream Green Tea, which I have high expectations for. I thought it tasted fairly good. With the check-in offer, I received a large sized drink - and with the addition of boba, everything was still under $4. Boba was really good. Chewy and firm, with enough sweetness to give it flavor. It didn't detract from the green tea flavor either. Whenever I order this particular drink, I like to make sure that the cream is separate from the tea. I felt like the color of the tea was pretty similar to the cream, which made me think that maybe milk was added. But the tea was pretty good - not as "pure" as I have had from other places, but I liked it. I would probably put T4U's sea salt cream green tea in my top five, with this being the fifth compared to other tea houses.
My friend tried the honey green tea and the Hokkaido milk tea and thought they both were good.
Can't really comment much since I only tried one drink and I thought it was good. Service was fast and efficient - drinks came out in under 5 minutes. I wanted to try their Cassava cakes, but they were all out. I will be back to try their popular Chamango drink as well as their Cassava cake and popcorn chicken!

Read moreI visited T4U Cafe, and I was extremely disappointed with the experience, particularly with the attitude of the owner. From the moment we walked in, the owner seemed uninterested in serving us and was downright rude. When we had questions about the menu, the owner acted as if we were a bother, giving short and dismissive answers. Not only did this make us feel unwelcome, but it also ruined the atmosphere of what should have been an enjoyable meal. It's a shame because the food itself was decent, but the owner's behavior made it impossible to enjoy our time there. I hope they can improve their customer service, as no one should be treated like this when dining out. Until then, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone looking for a friendly...
Read moreThe food here is amazing, I had never had deep fried spam masubi, it’s amazing. Highly recommend. Their popcorn chicken and sweet and sour chicken is made from the same type of chicken. But the chicken is a different kind of crispy. Not a Taiwanese style type of popcorn chicken but still good. Flakey goodness! Although a little bit more saltier than expected.
