I’ve been a loyal customer of Kitchen Nail Bar for years, visiting multiple locations with my mom, including Sunnyvale, Coleman, and Santana Row. Most recently, we started going to Khloe at Santana Row upon her suggestion. We’ve always booked our appointments weeks in advance and spent significant time and money—nearly $400 per visit—on services. However, during our last visit, Khloe’s behavior was shockingly unprofessional. She started my service 30 minutes late, despite our appointment being scheduled well in advance. Then, after finishing my manicure and pedicure, she flat-out refused to provide the full service for my mom, claiming she didn’t have time because she had another client. This was incredibly disrespectful, especially since both appointments had been scheduled together, and we are paying customers who value punctuality and professionalism. Afterward, Khloe sent me an insulting message blaming us for her inability to manage her time. She claimed that servicing us takes longer than her other clients and insinuated that we don’t appreciate her work, even accusing us of not tipping her or showing gratitude. This message was not only rude but entirely inappropriate. As paying customers, it is not our job to manage her schedule or justify her lack of professionalism. To make matters worse, Khloe ended the message by dismissing us as clients, which is outrageous considering the loyalty and money we’ve invested at this business. What’s even more frustrating is that I keep receiving messages from Kitchen Nail Bar about Khloe’s availability to book an appointment. I called the salon and spoke with a manager about the situation, who told me she would inform her boss about it. The manager also offered me a 20-25% discount on my next visit as an apology, but how does this management system work if they don’t even know what their employees are sending to clients? Why am I still getting messages about booking with Khloe after all of this? Khloe’s unprofessionalism, lack of accountability, and blatant disrespect for her clients’ time and loyalty are appalling. Kitchen Nail Bar needs to take this issue seriously and improve their management practices. I will no longer recommend her services—or this...

Yet another horrible experience with this place. I just asked them what it costs to remove gel and cut nails, they said $15. Then I asked them how much for regular polish and they said $5 more. So, I said $20 right? And then they are like no you are confused, etc etc. After getting me to check in and everything, upon telling them that I just want the $15 service, they basically said they don’t have any appointment available till 5pm (it's 11:30am right now). I guess $15 is not worth their time. Are you freaking kidding me?! Then why get me to sign in and ask to take a seat? RUDE AS HELL ladies. DO NOT GO HERE. It’s an awful salon. They feel they can get away with bad behavior just because they are on Santana row. Never again will I walk into this salon. Amending my original 3 stars to a 1 star. —————— This place seems to be a bit of a hit or miss depending on who you get as a technician. My pedicure technician was ok. She was a little rough and I had to keep telling her to be gentle when we was filling my toenails. I wasn’t offered tea or coffee as another lady was. She did an ok job on the nails. The nail polish on the big toes looks lumpy and uneven. My manicure technician wasn’t great either. She cleaned up my cuticles way to close to the skin and cut me at the edges of various fingers. I’m feeling quite a bit of pain today. The nails were also filed a bit wonky and she couldn’t do simple Korean jelly nails well. The opacity looks different on all the nails and she kept having to redo some nails as she made mistakes. Overall, I was quite displeased with the service considering the amount of money this place charges. The hygiene felt a little subpar too. Two ladies came in for pedicure with severe toe fungus. I hope the salon is using special products on those and not reusing the same products on others. I have serious fear of developing toe fungus after being there. Not sure if I’ll go to this branch again. I’ve had better...
Read moreSo I have been coming here for months and always had a good experience so I previously left a good review: “Always friendly and professional and the best mani pedi of my life literally always lasts me 4+ weeks”
However, last week I went in for my regular thing and they literally suggested and convinced me to get a much more expensive treatment, I ended paying $105 for just my manicure (with my real nails not even acryclics). Within 48 hours half my nails topcoat and color had peeled off. It’s Christmas so there wasn’t much I could do about it as I was busy for a few days, as most of us are. I figured hey it’s no big deal I’ll be by next week and I’ll pop in and show them and they’ll fix it no big deal. WRONG. They told me I had to be in within the week and even though it was a holiday and we’re all busy which is why I had made my appointment weeks in advance. They did not care about their poor manicure, they did not care I’ve been coming here as a loyal customer for month with no prior issues, they did not care that I never even booked this treatment but did it at their suggestion. They told me I could pay for another full price manicure and didn’t care if I stopped being their customer. So at the end of the day can you come here and get a good manicure? Yes about 3/4 of the time, but do you want to spend twice as much as every other salon to get treated worse than most salons would treat you? Personally I will only pay an extra $50 if I’m getting a manicure I can rely on and good customer service and since you can’t count on either of those things from this salon, don’t...
